Ushio: I wasn’t really all that interested…

潮：そのオレが海にいくことに決めたのは。。。
Ushio: When I decided to go to the sea.


真由子：ねェ！　蒼月君。　麻子のおじいちゃんの家、海の家やってるんだって。
　いこうよっ！！
Mayuko: Oh, Ushio! We’re going to Asako’s grandfather’s house by the sea.
Why don’t you come with us?

麻子：真由子　あたしはイヤだからね！
Asako: Mayuko, you didn’t even ask me!

横尾：うしおーっ、ということになったからなーっ！
Yokoo: Ushio, I know what that means!


潮：なにがということになっただよーっ！　オレたちのキャンプのハナシはどーなったの？
Ushio: What do you mean, you know what that means! Didn’t we talk about going camping?

横尾：バカモノ！　　
優先順位からいったら、そんなもんはアンドロメダ星雲のかなただよ！！
Yokoo: Dummy! If we went by your priorities,
we’ll be out beyond the Andromeda nebula by that time!


厚池：あめえ、中村さんや井上さんだぜ。ほかにもいきたいヤツがわんさか！！
Atsuike: Hey, it’s Nakamura and Inoue. There are going to be a dozen people who want to come along!


真由子：蒼月くんいこーよ！
Mayuko: Come along, Aotsuki!

Mayuko: And bring Tora-chan along…

潮：めんどくせーなー。
Ushio: Uh, no way.


麻子：よしなさいよ真由子―っ！そいつがきたっておもしろくなんともないしさー。
Asako: Come on, Mayuko! We won’t have any fun if he comes anyway.

潮：なにをーつ！？
Ushio: What!?


横尾：うしおー行こうぜー　おい
Yokoo: Come with us, Ushio

潮：だってよー　季節もうそろそろはずれてるぜー
Ushio: But it’s already so late in the season-

真由美：それがねらい日なのよー　すいてるかもしれないでしょー
Mayuko: So it’ll be less crowded

麻子：あたしはもともとあんたなんてさそう気はないのよ。
Asako: I still don’t care what you do


とら：なんだ。。。海にいくのか？
Tora: So, are we going or what?


潮：オレはなにもみんなの楽しみをうばうつもりなんてないせでもよー
Ushio: Now, I’m not trying to spoil everybody’s fun, but-

真由子：ねー行こーよ行こーよ　麻子の水着見れるのよーかーっ
Mayuko: Oh, please come with us! You’ll be able to see Asako in her bathing suit.

麻子：なにがかーっ。
Asako: What was that!


紫暮：なーんでいうしおーっ、おめえ海にもいかんのかー！？
毎日毎日絵ばっかり描きやがってーっ。まったく、不健康なガキが！
Shigure: What this about you not wanting to go to the beach, Ushio?
You just draw pictures every damn day.
Jeez, you’re an unhealthy little brat!


紫暮：くさっとるなーバカ！！
Shigure: Don’t sit here and rot, moron!!


潮：いく！
Ushio: I’ll go!

潮：というわけだ！
Ushio: So there!

とら：おめー単純すぎるぞ。。。
Tora: You are so easy…

潮：というわけでオレは少し季節の遅い海にいくことになった。。。
Ushio: And so, we went to the beach a little late in the season…


潮：メンバーはまず先発隊としてオレ、中村、井上を含める１０名。
　　（あとからもっとくるんだと。）
Ushio: The original group of Nakamura, Inoue and me grew to include 10 people.
(A lot more people would come after us.)


潮：引率は。。。
Ushio: And the leader of our group…

お父さん：うしおちゃんどーしたっ！？
Asako’s Dad: How’re you doing, Ushio!


お父さん：ほらっ、うしおちゃんこねーともりあがらんぞ！
Asako’s Dad: Hey, I wouldn’t be so excited if you hadn’t come along!

潮：いつも元気な中村のおやじさん。
Ushio: …was Nakamura’s always enthusiastic dad.


潮：それと。。。
Ushio: And so…

パイロット１：どうだ　みつかったか？
Pilot 1: How’s it going? You find it?


パイロット２：だめだ　船影も油もみつからん！
Pilot 2: No luck. No signs of the ship or the oil.

パイロット１：４万トンのタンカーだぞ！　そんな簡単に消えるかっ！
Pilot 1: It’s a 40,000 ton tanker! How could it disappear like this!


パイロット２：２時間前に定時連絡があったきりそれっきりか。。。
Pilot 2: We lost communications with it two hours ago.

パイロット１：にっ。。。２番機！　あっ、おい　ありゃ。。。なんだっ！？
Pilot 1: This…this is the second one! How the hell does that happen?

パイロット２：どうした１番機。。。？
Pilot 2: What happened to the first one?

Pilot 1: Is it…a whale?


パイロット１：いっ、いや、違うぞ。。。

パイロット１：怪物！

Copilot: Rescue Headquarters, come in Headquarters!

パイロット：　おい、もぐるぞ！！
Pilot: Look, it’s diving!


パイロット１：もぐっちまったか！？
Pilot 1: Is it gone？

パイロット１：おい。。。オレたちのみたのは。。。？
Pilot 1: Hey, did you just see what we saw?


パイロット２：わからない。。。なんだったんだ。。。！？
Pilot 2: I don’t know…what the hell was that thing…?

パイロット１：とっ、とにかく帰投しよう。。。
Pilot 1: A-at any rate, we’d better return to base…

Ushio: He followed me!

麻子：おいてくぞーっ！
Asako: Let’s get going!


皆：あーっ！
Everyone: Aaah!


大ひと：いくぞ　うしおくん！
Big guy: Let’s go, Ushio!

潮：おー
Ushio: Yeah-

女：あの子よ、あの子がわたしたちの荷物を！
Girl: He’s the one! That kid threw our bags down there!


横尾：まてコラ、ガキ！
Yokoo: Hold up, you little brat!

Atsuike: Hey, kid! Say something!

女：なんでこんなコトしたのよっ！！
Girl: How could you do such a thing!


麻子：ちょ、ちょっとまって！
キョーハクしてるみたいじゃない。ねェ、ゆるしてやろーよっ。
Asako: Wa-wait a minute, guys!
He didn’t mean anything by it. Let’s just forget about it.


麻子：ちっちゃい子なんてイタズラ大好きなのよ。
Asako: You know, little kids love pranks.


麻子：蒼月なんてねー、おねしょしたふとんをフロ屋のえんとつにねーっ。。。
Asako: Like Aotsuki. He once put his futon up the bath house chimney after he wet the bed…

潮：あーっ、コラコラコラ！
Ushio: Ah, don’t tell them that!


麻子：コラ、もうだめよこんなことしちゃ。
Asako: Now, you won’t do anything like that again.


麻子：ねつ！
Asako: Right?

Yokoo: You little…!

タツヤ：へーんだくそばばァ！
Tatsuya: Weird ass hag!


麻子：あははっ　いいって、いいって。こーいうの蒼月で慣れてるもんね。
Asako: Ha ha ha That’s okay. I’m used to it from Aotsuki.

潮：こりゃいい。中村がくそばばァか！ちがいねーっ！
Ushio: That’s right. Asako is an old hag! No mistake!


横尾：なんで中村さんガキにゃカンヨーなのにおめえにゃダメなのよ？
Yokoo: How come she tolerates the kid but not you?

潮：しるか。。。
Ushio: Does it look like I know?


おばあさん：こんちはーっ。
Grandma: Good afternoon.

Grandma: Oh, there’re a lot of you!


麻子：おじいちゃん　おばあちゃん！
Asako: Grandpa, grandma!

おじいさん：おーっ、麻子元気だったかーっ！
Grandpa: Oh, Asako, you’re looking good!


おじいさん：おおっ　麻子！この前はこんなに小さかったのに今はあちこち増えおって。
Grandpa: Oh, Asako! Before, you were so little and now you’re really filling out here and there.


おじいさん：もんじゃろ！
Grandpa: Let me feel!

麻子：やーねーっ。じいちゃん。
Asako: No way, Gramps.


潮：さすが中村のじいちゃんだなー。
Ushio: Just what you’d expect of Nakamura’s grandpa.

お父さん：さあ　こっちだぞー。
Asako’s Dad: Okay, over here everybody.


おばあさん：トランシーバーをさげた子供に荷物を投げられたー？
Grandma: A little boy with a transceiver threw your luggage into the water?

Grandma: That’s Tatsuya.

麻子：タツヤくん。。。？
Asako: Tatsuya?



おばあさん：この近所じゃしらん者はいないよ。。。
２年前、小学二年の時、母親を亡くしてから、
Grandma: Everyone around here knows about him…
2 years ago, when he was in second grade, ever since he lost his mother,


おばあさん：ひねくれて友だちもつくらんといたずらばっかするようになった。。。
Grandma: He’s become so rebellious, has no friends, and started with all these pranks…


おばあさん：本当はいい子なんだけどねえ。。。
Grandma: He’s really a good boy, but…


学生：よーし、ひと休みしたら海いくぞー！
Student: All right, it’s a vacation so let’s get to the beach!

学生達：やっほーっ！
Students: Yahoo!


とら：うーん。
Tora: Uuun.

とら：へっへーっ。いい気持ちだぜー　五００年間とじこめられっぱなしだったからなー。
Tora: He he he. This feels pretty good after 500 years stuck in that cellar.


とら：ひーいやっほおお！
Tora: Hyahoooo!


とら：久しぶりに思いっきり走ってみるか。。。昔は一瞬で山二つ三つかけぬけたもんだよ。
Tora: It’s been a long time since I could run all out… I used to run over two or three mountains at a time.


とら：うしおのヤツのコトなんか忘れてよ
Tora: I’ll just forget about that damned Ushio for a bit

潮：わっ、井上っ　なんだこりゃはんばーがー！？
Ushio: Whoa, Inoue! What’s with all these hamburgers!?

真由子：とらちゃんのよ。。。
Mayuko: They’re for Tora-chan.


潮：とらちゃんっておまえ。。。いくらあいつがこれ食ったからって。。。
Ushio: Mayuko, how many do you think “Tora-chan” can eat…

真由子：気に入ってくれてよかったわー。
Mayuko: I’m so glad he likes them.


真由子：でもうしおくん、麻子に教えてあげないの？
Mayuko: But, Ushio, aren’t you going to tell Asako?


潮：実際にみるまであいつが信じるわきゃないし、それになんでオレがあいつに
　　教えなきゃならんのよ？
Ushio: She wouldn’t believe me unless she saw him for herself, so why should I tell her?

真由子：あたし。。。いっちゃおうかな～
Mayuko: Oh no…I might slip and tell her~


潮：ばっばかっ　これ以上めんどーなヤツまきこむんじゃねー
Ushio: Do-don’t! Don’t bring an even more bothersome person into this!

真由子：ははーん　どーしよっかなーっ
Mayuko: Ha ha, what should I do~


店員１：おい、あれあれ！
Clerk 1: Hey, look, look!

店員２：おっ、かわいーっ！
Clerk 2: Oh, she’s cute!


店員１：あんまいいのいねーと思ったらいるじゃん！
Clerk 1: And you thought there wouldn’t be any good-looking ones!

店員２：おっ、おれいってくるわっ。
Clerk 2: Oh, I’ll take this one.

Tora: This fish tastes like crap.

Umizatou: Excuse me… Excuse me but perhaps…


海座頭：長飛丸様では。。。？
Umizatou: Is it you, Nagatobimaru-sama?


とら：そうよばれてたのは五００年も前よ。。。
Tora: I was called that 500 years ago.

とら：それよりわしはもったいぶったのはキライだ。。。
Tora: But I don’t like it. It’s pretentious…


とら：どーでもいいからはやくでてこい！
Tora: Whatever. Hurry up and come on out!

とら：とっととでてきやがらねえとォ。。。
Tora: If you don’t get out here quick…

海座頭：おっ、おまちください。。。
Umizatou: Oh, one moment please…


海座頭：これなるは海座頭。。。
Umizatou: I am humble Umizatou..


海座頭：長飛丸様に。。。
Umizatou: Nagatobimaru-sama…

海座頭：お願いの儀　これ有ります。
Umizatou: There is the matter of a request I have for you.

Tora: Stop calling me that. What is it you want me to do?
Just ask me out right.


海座頭：は。。。近ごろこの海に入りこみ、狼藉の限りをつくす妖。。。
Umizatou: Ah…There has recently come to the seas a youkai that strains the limits of chaos and disorder.


海座頭：“あやかし”を屠ってもらえぬでしょうか。。。
Umizatou: Can you defeat the Ayakashi?
