潮： 中学生の一人旅がこんなにしんどいもんだったとはな。
Ushio: Traveling alone as a middle-schooler is a real bother.


潮： だいたい一万円札出しただけでへんな目で見られるもんなあ。。。
Ushio: Whipping out 10,000 yen bills is getting me a lot of weird looks.


潮： あ～あ。家を出てから一日たってねーのになー。
Ushio: A~ah. It’s only been a day since I left home!

Ushio: A-ah!


とら： 疲れたぜえ。おまえのせいでヒコーキとかいうの持ち上げてよー。
Tora: I’m tired. It’s your fault I had to hold up the ‘plane’ thing.


潮： あー！
Ushio: AAH!

とら： いいからこれからどうするか決めろよ。
もうすぐ日が暮れるんだからよ。
Tora: Listen, decide what we’re gonna do now.
It’s already getting dark.


（箱： とらはフツー人には見えない。）
(Box: Tora cannot be seen by normal people.)


潮： オレだってバテたから、ここで寝ていきたいんだけどよー。
Ushio: I’m bushed and I wanted to come here to sleep, but…

潮： さき行ったホテルー。　
Ushio: At that hotel I went to-

潮： こんちはー泊まりたいんだけどー
Ushio: Hey there, I’d like a room.

フロントたち： いらっしゃいませー
Front Desk: Welcome!


フロントたち： ご予約は？ ご両親は？
Front Desk: Do you have a reservation? Where are your parents?

潮： 予約してないし一人だよ！
Ushio: No reservation and I’m alone!


フロントたち： お。。。一人。。。
Front Desk: You’re…alone?


フロントたち： いっ、家出少年ですよっ。
Front Desk: He’s a runaway!

フロントたち： いや、不良でオヤジから逃げているのではっ！？
Front Desk: No, he’s escaping from an abusive father!

フロントたち： 万引きやって。。。
Front Desk: Probably a shoplifter…

フロントたち： かつあげやって。。。
Front Desk: An extortionist…

潮： さよなら！
Ushio: Bye!


潮： はあ中学生の一人旅ってこまったなあ。。。
Ushio: Haah, it’s real trouble traveling alone as a middleschooler…

(Sign: Sendai Airport Terminal)

電話男： そう！前輪だけしか出てない飛行機が着陸に
成功したんだぞ、不思議だろ？
Guy on Phone: Right! It’s a mystery how he successfully managed
to land a plane with only the front wheels deployed.

電話男： うん、蒼月。。。
潮と書いて、うしお。乗客名簿にあったのに
一人だけいないんだ。その子の住所しらべてよ！
Guy on Phone: Yeah, Aotsuki… his first name is read “Ushio”.
He’s the only one not here that was on the passenger registry.
Look up the kid’s address.


電話男： 乗客がみんな変なバケモノ見たといってる。。。
ひょっとしたらその子が何か手がかりをー。
うっ。
Guy on Phone: The passengers are all saying they saw a weird bakemono.
This kid might possibly hold some clue to all this-
Uhh.


凶羅： そいつはどこにいる！？
Kyoura: Where is he!?

Guy on Phone: Gugguaa~

電話男： たっ助け。。。
Guy on Phone: He-help…


人々： なにするんだよ！
People: What’s he doing!?

人々： おい、やめろよっ！！
People: Hey, stop it!


凶羅： 言え、蒼月潮はどこに行った！？
Kyoura: Tell me! Where is Aotsuki Ushio!?

電話男： ぐえっ。
Guy on Phone: Gueh-

電話男： 仙台。。。市内行きのバス停をきかれた人がいる。。。
から。。。
Guy on Phone: Sendai! There was someone he asked about the bus stop
heading into the city…


凶羅： 蒼月―潮か。。。
Kyoura: Aotsuki Ushio…


凶羅： 「獣の槍」か。。。オレはそんなもの信じてなかったが、
本山の連中はどこぞの寺の蔵にあるとかいってたな。。。
Kyoura: The “Beast Spear”? I never believed in that but the guys at
the Head Temple said it was in some temple’s cellar.

男： それが潮の父、紫暮が住職をつとめる寺の蔵だったのです。
Man: It was the cellar of the temple where Ushio’s father Shigure
works as chief priest.


男： それから我々光覇明宗は過去数度にわたって
「獣の槍」をかの蔵から出そうと試みましたが。。。
Man: We of the Kouhamei sect have tried many times in the past
to get the “Beast Spear” out of that cellar.


凶羅： 法力僧が何人かかってもダメだったのだな。。。
Kyoura: No matter how many hourikisou tried, they all failed.

男： はい。数年前僧上様も試みられましたが、
あの蔵の地下に通じる穴は開きませんでした。
Man: Yes. Several year ago, Soujou-sama attempted it
but the opening leading to the underground cellar did not open.

男： あの穴の扉はしっかりと封印されてました。
Man: The doors to the opening were tightly sealed.


男： それを潮少年が開けたとすれば、
Man: If we assume they opened for the boy Ushio,


凶羅： そのガキが「獣の槍」に選ばれた者ということか。。。
白面の者とやらを倒すというさ運命の。。。
Kyoura: Then that would mean the kid was the one chosen by the “Beast Spear”…
The one destined to defeat Hakumen no Mono.

男： ええ。
Man: Right.


凶羅： 面白い。。。オレがこいつを試してやる！。。。そして、
Kyoura: Interesting… I’ll test him. And then,


凶羅： 妖怪か！
Kyoura: The youkai!


男： はい、「とら」と呼ばれる体長四メートル余りの虎に似た妖怪で、
槍の最後の持ち主が最後に封じた妖と思われます。
Man: Yes, a four-meter tall youkai called “Tora” that somewhat resembles a tiger.
We believe it was finally sealed by the last weilder of the Spear.

男： 稲妻を好み動作は俊敏、狡猾な妖ですので油断なきように。。。
Man: We were unprepared for its cunning, quick wits and affinity for lightning…


凶羅： ふん。。。なぜその妖はガキとつるんでるんだ？
Kyoura: Fun… why is it hanging around the brat?

男： わかりません。
本山の指示は潮少年を見つけて槍を奪回し、
妖怪を退治することのみです。
Man: We don’t know.
The orders from the Head Temple are only to find the boy Ushio,
recover the Spear, and destroy the youkai.


凶羅： けっ、たやすいことよ。
Kyoura: Keh- a simple thing.

潮： あーもうやめた！
Ushio: Ah, I quit!


潮： どのホテルもオレを家出小僧みたく見やがって！
こうなったら外で寝てやらあ！
Ushio: No matter which hotel I go to, they all look at me like I’m a runaway!
At this rate, I’m better off sleeping outside!

潮： くださーい！
Ushio: I’ll take it all!


潮： とら、わかってるだろうが、絶対姿を見せんなよ！
何にでもキョーミもって目立つなよ！！
Ushio: Tora, I know you know, but you CANNOT materialize in here.
I know you’re interested in everything but don’t attract attention!


とら： わかってるって、バカ、わしもここんトコ世間に出て
もの知りになったんだぞ、そんなコトせんわい。
Tora: I know, stupid. Since I returned to the world, I’ve become
thoroughly knowledgeable about it, so I don’t do that stuff anymore.


店員： お客さま　六万二千六百二十一円です。
Clerk: That’ll be 62,621 yen.

潮： あ　ハイハイ
Ushio: Here you go.


とら： ん？
Tora: Huh?


とら： これ。。。何だ？
Tora: What’s this thing?


とら： なんだ。。。こいつ。。。
この世じゃこんな妙ちきりんな物を使わなきゃ人間は体を強くできんのか？
Tora: Hmm, maybe in this era, humans have to use these weird things
to make their bodies strong?

Ushio: That……IDIOT! Aaah…


凶羅： 何があったのですな、おまわりさん？
Kyoura: Has something happened, officer?


警官： いやね、衣料品店の娘が、虎だかライオンだか
を見たってひきつけをおこしてね、大騒ぎさ。
Officer: No, the lady in the clothing store saw a tiger or a lion
and went into convulsions. It caused a big ruckus.


警官： なんかの見まちがいだろ
Officer: She must have been seeing things

警官： おい、今度はスポーツ用品店だとよ！
Officer: Hey, this time it’s the sporting goods store!

警官： 誰もいないのに急にショーウインドーが割れたんだってよ。
Officer: There was no one inside and the show window suddenly smashed apart.

警官： バカバカしいな！
Officer: Nonsense!


潮： 青葉城か。。。人のいないトコならねれるかな。。。
Ushio: There shouldn’t be anybody at Aoba Castle, so I should be able sleep there.


潮： まったく、騒ぎばっかりおこしやがってよーっ。
Ushio: Jeez, you just can’t stop making big trouble!

とら： うっせーなー。痛かったんだぜー、このタコムカつくな～。
Tora: Quiet. It hurt, you irritating ass.


潮： ヤロー、そんなコトバばっかりおぼえやがってーっ！
Ushio: Jerk, how come those are the kinds of words you actually remember!

とら： イーヒヒヒ　　言ったやって！言ってやった！
Tora: Ihi hi hi~ I called him an ass~


男： バカヤロー　女殴るなんて、なんて坊さんだよォ！！
Man: Bastard! How could you hit a woman!? You’re a monk!!

凶羅： おとなしく言うがよい。
ガラスが割れた時店にいたガキはどっちに行った？
Kyoura: It’s best if you just tell me quickly. Where is the kid that was
in the store when the window broke?


男： わかったよ。。。
Man: O-okay!

男： あ。。。あっちに
Man: H-he went that way!


潮： はー、街をながめて寝るのもオシだねーっ。
Ushio: Hah, looking out on the city while I go to sleep is pretty nice.

潮： うちに電話してもオヤジが出ないのがちっと心配だけど、
Ushio: I’m a little worried that Pops didn’t pick up when I called home.

潮： オヤジのことだから大丈夫か！
Ushio: But it’s Pops after all. I’m sure he’s fine.


潮： それに今さら帰れないか！
Ushio: But it’s really late for him not to be home.


潮： ま、いいか！　あした考えよっと。
Ushio: Ah well. I’ll think about it tomorrow.


潮： とら！
Ushio: Tora.

潮： 誰か。。。来る！
Ushio: Somebody’s coming!

とら： 知っとるよ！
Tora: I know!


凶羅： ガキの遊びはもう終いだ。
Kyoura: Playtime is over.

凶羅： 玩具とぬいぐるみをもらい受けにきた。
Kyoura: I’ve come to take your toy and stuffed animal.

凶羅： オレは凶羅、槍をくれ。そしてついでに、
そっちの妖怪の魂も。
Kyoura: I’m Kyoura. Give me the Spear. And while you’re at it,
I’ll take that youkai’s soul as well.


潮： え！？
Ushio: Huh!?

とら： うしお来るぞ!
Tora: Ushio, here he comes!


潮： うわあっ！
Ushio: Uwaah!

Ushio: W-w-wait a minute!


凶羅： かあっ。
Kyoura: Kaah-

潮： ぐうっ。
Ushio: Guuh-


凶羅： なかなかすばしこいがしかしー
Kyoura: You’re pretty quick-

凶羅： その槍の正当な持ち主なら証拠を見せろ！
Kyoura: Show me proof that you’re the rightful weilder of the Spear!


潮： 待ってくれ何のコトだか。。。
Ushio: Wait, what’s all this about!

凶羅： 証拠を見せろおおーっ！！
Kyoura: Show me proof!!


潮： この槍は妖怪用だよ　　人間相手にゃ証拠もなにも。。。！
Ushio: The Spear works on youkai. There’s plenty of proof it does
nothing against a human opponent!

Kyoura: Well, farewell, youkai!
