コーヒーがなければ始まらない。だけど、ドラマの主役はコーヒーじゃない。
Text: It won't begin without coffee. However, the main character of this drama isn't the coffee.

親父は？
Man: Where's the old man?

なんだ？この向こうか？
Man: What? He's over there?

ずいぶん優雅じゃないか
Man: This is pretty refined isn't it.
おっ来たか
Hiyama: Oh, you've come.

悪かったなわざわざこんな所まで
Hiyama: Sorry about dragging you out here.
なに　新車の足慣らしに丁度いいさ
Man: Nah, it was just the right thing for breaking in the new car.

アイスコーヒーでも飲むか？
Hiyama: Would you like some ice coffee?

酒やめたってのは本当らしいな
Man: Seems like its true that you've quit drinking.

酒はもうあきた 半世紀以上飲んでたんだ
Hiyama: I'm tired of alcohol. I drank it for more than half a century.

だがなぜかピーナッツだけは止められないんだな
Hiyama: But for some reason I haven't been able to give up peanuts.
じゃあ今度段ボールで２ダースくらい送ってやるよ
Man: Then next time I'll send you 2 dozen boxes of them.

銀行からの借金もあったしあんたの所有にできるものは少なかったよ
Man: The loans from the bank are also included. There isn't much that you wouldn't be able to call your own.
それで　結局　手元に幾ら残るんだ？
Hiyama: So after all this, how much is left?
現金で５千万位かな　あとはこの辺の土地とトラック１台
Man: About 500,000,000 Yen in cash. Along with this property and a truck.

それで　みんな手放して　これからどうするつもりなんだ？
Man: So what do you plan on doing now that you've parted ways with everyone.
別に　しばらくのんびりやるさ
Hiyama: Nothing in particular. Just taking it easy for a bit.

鬼の檜山も片腕に死なれてすっかり消沈したってわけかい
Hiyama: So even Hiyama, the demon, is completely despondent when he's betrayed by his right hand man.

それで　あの子はどうする気だ？
Man: And what do you plan on doing with that kid?
古川が治るまで預かるって話だったんだろう　他に身寄りはないのか？
Man: It was only supposed to be until Furukawa got better, right? Does she have any other relatives?

あの子はおれが引き取る
Hiyama: I'm going to take care of her.

あの子はおれの養女にしたつもり　お前の妹ってわけだ。
Hiyama: I'm going to adopt that kid. She's going to be your sister.
はあ！？
Man: What!?

本気なのか？
Man: Are you serious?
あんな孫みたいな娘　成人するまで責任持ってるのか
Man: She looks like she could be your granddaughter, and you're going to take responsibility of her till she becomes an adult?

まあいろいろ考えてはいるよ
Hiyama: Well, there's still a lot to think about.
いくら旧友の忘れ形見だからって犬や猫もらうのとはわけが違うぞ
Man: This is a lot different than keeping some dog or cat as a memento of a friend.
わかってるよ
Hiyama: I know that.
大体あの子　学校行ってるのか？
Man: Is that kid even going to school?

必要なことはおれが教えてる
Hiyama: I'm teaching her what she needs to know.
。。。なんで学校に行かせないんだ？
Man: ... Why aren't you letting her go to school?
行かせたけど　追い返されたんだよ
Hiyama: I did let her but she got turned away.

あんたと違ってあの子は先が長いんだ　もっとちゃんと考えてやれよ
Man: That kid's got a long future ahead of her, unlike you. Think this through thoroughly.
なんだったらうちから学校に通わせてやってもかまわないぜ
Man: If it comes to that, I wouldn't mind taking her from home to school.

あれ？もう帰るのか？せっかくスズキとワインを用意しといたのに
Hiyama: Huh? Leaving already? After I went through all that effort preparing sea bass and wine.

そうそう暇でもないんだ　また今度な
Man: Well I'm not that free. We'll have it next time.

本当にどうにかしてやれよ　子どもの未来は教育次第だからな
Man: You've really got to do something. A child's future depends on their education.
ああ　わかった　わかった
Hiyama: I know, I know.
一応　俺の妹に当たるわけだから
Man: 'Cause she's going to be my sister for the time being.
はい　はい
Hiyama: Yeah Yeah.

ん？
Man: Huh?

あっしまった鍵！！
Man: Oh no! The key!!
おい！大丈夫か！？
Hiyama: Hey! You alright!?

あーこれはJAFを呼ばにゃいかんな
Hiyama: Looks like we're going to have to call triple A for this.
。。。
Man: ...

あれか新車って
Hiyama: Is that the new car?
まあ。。。　今日は泊まっていけよ
Hiyama: Well... You'll be staying over tonight.
ははは
Hiyama: Hahaha.

Notes:

On page 8 I chose to use the word "betrayed" but the literal meaning is more like he was put to death or killed off. I guess it's obviously in the business sense, but I couldn't really think of a good business idiom (because I don't know any.)

一応　俺の妹に当たるわけだから
Man: 'Cause she's going to be my sister for the time being.

That translation feels really out of place for me. I don't know.

In the title it's spelled "Pixy" but that's not the usual spelling in English (American dialects anyways.) I don't really know what to do about that. lol.
