and they are very talented in the use of fire-based (Katon) jutsus.

Yup, I'd say that my translation is right (lol although it feels awkward to say that..)
「抑え」=suppress, with +「な」 it becomes negative (i.e. don't suppress)
(and 「ければ」=if)
But this explanation sounds complicated...@_@ (I'll go see if I can convince Yoshitsune... *dash*)

Ok, well it can't be helped but I'm not sure about all that "quality control" stuff. Yoshitsune's "altering the nature" is probably closer to the Japanese "性質変化", only I still don't know how that's going to turn out in the end. (I guess we'd have to wait for the next chapters to grasp exactly what is meant by that phrase...)
Btw, it took me sooo long to realize what you were talking about. I kept reading it as "a hundred times", so...(thought you were still too sleepy、えへ) >∀<ゞ

At first, I couldn't help but think that "recomposition" is not a good translation for "変化" itself. But after much mulling-it-over, I think "elemental recomposition" will be a great explanation for the entire "性質変化" phrase (i.e. recomposing chakra while sticking to one element). (Initially, because of the word 変化, that phrase had me thinking of changes between the 5 elements >_<)
I still don't understand "性質変化" perfectly so I can only guess that this has to do with changing the nature of the chakra within the element e.g. Thunder→Electricity, perhaps Wind→Kamaitachi? In which case, my "quality control" would be a terrible translation (I was originally thinking 荒い/rough、滑らか/smooth、etc. Well, maybe electricity = rough and kamaitachi = sharp can still be possible...)
Anyway, I suppose the idea is that the form of the element/chakra can be changed by this "性質変化" concept...
Sorry if I'm confusing people, but I'll fix all my translations once I understand it better with the coming of following chapters~ ・ω<
but I can get the meaning you aim for ,so it is not a big problem.
(Whenever I look at my translations now, I'm going to have that idea stuck in my head~ >_<)
