Rajoumon / 羅城門
Rajoumon is the name of the old main gate of two ancient capitals of Japan, Heijo-kyo and later Heian-Kyo. After fires in the 9th and 10th centuries, the gate in Heian-Kyo fell into disrepair, and the surrounding area became dangerous and disreputable. Eventually it became the setting for various legends and strange tales, one of which featured it as the home of the oni Ibaraki Douji.
