In the compilation this time, I thought I'd review a little about the way this world works.

The Town of Kyrie
(Memo ★ kyrie [Greek] means mercy, pity or compassion. It appears in the first line of the Ordinary of the Mass. It starts with: "Lord, have mercy."

Bifrost [Bifuresuto]
This is the bridge that connects Yodaka with Yuusari. For convenience's sake, the crossing permit to cross this bridge is made out of paper, but that doesn't mean a lot of people can pass through here, and it seems the government keeps full background records of those who do pass through. Signal and Signales, the twins who use spirit amber in their pipes, use the smoke from this special tobacco to compare the data they have with those trying to pass the gate. How do they do it? Come to think of it, just how long have those two been Gate Keepers? Looks like they have a connection to the Director too. Or not?

(Memo ★ [bifuresuto] Bifrost / Norse mythology. This bridge is a rainbow connecting the world of humans with the world of the gods, and you can make your wishes come true if you cross it. ★ It means "Allons-y" [French] / "Let's go!")

Express Delivery Specialist Couriers
Jiggy Pepper, who with the power of Spirit Amber, just like in Spirit Bullets, transforms Heart into fuel to power his motorbike, is the only express delivery specialist courier Bee. Exhaustion due to continually using Heart isn't something to be taken lightly! The reason he can keep his bike running for such a long time over long distances is because he was brought up in Kyrie as an orphan... this is how Jiggy developed his high endurance and resilience. Jiggy's strength really fascinated the stern older men. In other words, he's an Old Man Killer. It's no use trying to copy him! Uh, anyway... "express delivery" is Jiggy's job. He's a valuable part of the Bee Hive. His Dingo, the bird of prey Harry, scouts out the way ahead from the skies above and seems to relay the information back to him. I guess that makes him a navigation bird. But anyway, Jiggy's so cool! He's the splitting image of me when I was a young man... (remaining remarks omitted)

"Empress" Organisation and Religion
This country is ruled by the "Empress", the person who "inherited the blood of the gods." She's the most celebrated figure of this land and the highest member of the Church as well. Icons of the Empress adorn places like Jiggy's church in Kyrie, and Miruriru and Tsurukaru's room. I'll leave more about the Empress for next time... gotta take things slowly here.

Yuusari Central
A large town encircled by ramparts... it's the heart of Yuusari, even though it's close to Yodaka.

Nocturne Hood
This is the main street of Yuusari Central. Many different shops line the street, including a map seller, a weapon shop, and the bakery "Sinners". Apparently the shop where that strange tobacco (which Director Lloyd is always smoking but whose fire never seems to go out) is produced and mixed, "Pink Elephant Pharmacy", is here too. No matter what you're looking for, you'll find it here.

Nocturne Hood, #13, Bee Hive Post Office (otherwise known as Hachi Nosu)
[T/N: Hachi Nosu... means Bee Hive in Japanese.]
Situated opposite Nocturne Hood, this is Yuusari and Yodaka's only post office. It's the base for Letter Bees. There are many government employees here who do office work. I'm here too! ...Probably. There are many facilities are set up here for Letter Bees.

As you know after seeing how Neri couldn't send her little brother's Letter, the postage fees in this country are extremely high. Well, that's because Bees are risking their lives to deliver the Letters... give them a break. The price will rise steeply if they have to cross the bridge Bifrost, or if your Letter is heavy or needs to be delivered somewhere far away.

Gauche Suede "delivered" Lag Seeing from Coza Bel to Yodaka's southernmost town, Cambel Litus, but that cost an extortionate amount in postage. I wonder who paid for it. Post offices are rare too, and they charge their own fees as well. The cheapest fee is probably sending a Letter from the Bee Hive... to the Bee Hive.

Raspberry Hill
It's named for its sweet and sour earth. I bet it tastes disgusting. Of course there's got to be an alternate route into town. That, or that old lady is ridiculously strong.

(Memo ★ Macky (Makkei) / Shoe-making term. A formula used when making military boots and so on. Its weaknesses include rain, and being worn down quickly when used for walking over long distances.)
