Illumina is the name of the cores that the WISE possess. Their functions are amplifying the PSI powers numerous times, slow the bodies' aging process considerably, replenish the PSI from the atmosphere and support the vital functions without the need for any nourishment. The process by which the WISE get a core inserted is called "Illuminas Forge" (イルミナス·フォージ, Iruminasu Fōji?). Some users of the cores die from rejections and others suffer mutilating transformations (which are supposed to be the Taboo), but the users who survive achieve a great power. It is also known that a second Illumina can't possibly fuse well with anyone's body, and the chances to survive over one year are less than 0.5%.1:

I do my best. I'm sorry it's not perfect, but I'm trying. So I found your comment "read the manga before trying to translate" very hurtful. I was rushing with this trans as I had family commitments yesterday, and was unable to spend my usual time translating it. I only had about 2 hours! ;_;
That's why it's taken me a day longer to post- I only got home and finished it now. (I'm sorry for the wait.)
I wrote Hiryuu as Hiryu as yes, it is written with double u in Japanese, but names when "Englishfied" rarely have the double letter like they do in Japanese. I wasn't sure, so I double checked with Wikipedia, and it wrote it as "Hiryū Asaga". If you don't like it I can change it in future translations. Ditto with flipping names. In Japanese society they do introduce themselves as "Last name first name", but we don't. ^^
We're not called Smith John. ;3
Again, if you really do not like it, I can keep the names backwards in my future translations.
Shrimpy may have translated it as that, and I apologize I didn't remember he had written it as that, but I translated it as "neural control" as the kanji was written as "nervous system control". ^^
Shrimpy translated to what he thought was right, and so did I. Each translator has their own personal tastes, after all! XD
