Translation Notes

The word fukuro means "owl" in Japanese, this is why Fukuro likens himself to an owl on page 7.

The SFX iyo~~~KAKAN!! is commonly heard during Japanese Noh plays.
From Wikipedia: "Noh" is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th Century. Noh is unique in its slow, spartan grace and its use of distinctive masks."
Kumadori's behavior is meant to be instantly recognizeable to any Japanese person due to their familiarity with Noh plays.
A common pose used in manga that hints at Noh is shown here.

Gochisousamadeshita - this is the phrase Japanese people say after meals. Itadakimasu is said before meals, and gochisousamadeshita is said after meals. There are multiple forms of this word, many are not listed in any dictionary but are understood by Japanese people to mean the same thing. Gochisou ni narimashita is one of them, and on Page 11 Kumadori uses Gochii ni Narimashita, which is just him saying it in his own way.

Q: How can Franky's "Coup de Poo" have a separate translation?
A: For many attacks, Oda-sensei likes to give them both a set of Kanji AND a separate pronunciation guide. English-speakers may not be used to this normally, but in most Asian cultures, the characters themselves also have meaning on their own. In the case of "Coup de Boo", Oda-sensei wrote it with the Kanji for "Kaze" (wind), "Rai" (to come), and "Funsha" (jet propulsion). Then on the side he wrote in Katakana how he wants the attack to actually be pronounced, which is "Coup de Boo". He doesn't do this with all moves though, but it does apply to most.
