~I’ve picked up a new project by one of my favorite authors... As usual with all my translations, people are free to read this (obviously), but please be advised that this translation is reserved for the group Twilight Dreams Scans for English scanslation!! Other than that, enjoy!!

Now a note for the scanslators:

I usually leave a blank space if there’s significant space between blocks of text (in bubbles or otherwise), and no blanks if the bubbles are right next to each other or are partly joined... I also go in the order of lines said and do not separate by different characters speaking (unless it’s a quick banter and it’s pretty obvious who’s speaking what)... this results in longer files, but I think it’s easier for people to follow. I always label the lines with the character names unless it’s narration, so that’s another tip in reading my translations.

Please feel free to ask me if you have questions about where a particular line should go...

Long-winded t/n: It’s very difficult to correctly translate the word 意識 because it really means several things sort of mashed into one word. In this context, 意識 refers to a state of having your mind focused and aware of something, and you have some sort of intent to do something with whatever is your object of attention... This means that (for the Puffer Fish Whales) the little critters can sense that Coco is, for some reason, actively attentive to their existence and that he wants to do something to/with them. So when Toriko says Coco’s intents are submerged, the actual connotation is that Coco sort of “empties his mind”, as it were, but yet still manages to remain completely focused and able to perform the tricky task at hand, a truly remarkable feat. Whew, now that I’m done with this, I don’t know if anyone will even read this. If you did, thanks!!

One thing is that while I was credited in the 216 scanslation for its translation, that was because I gave FH my translation late, so they used another translation and maybe used a little bit of mine. However, the chapter on the whole was NOT my translation, and if you care to compare, you will see drastic differences.
