Motomi: それ……じいちゃんも言ってたけど　どうしてなの？　ー　That... Grandad said the same thing! Why is it?
Acony: やっぱ霊的な祟りとかそーゆーモノ？　ー　Isn't it because of a curse or whatever?

Motomi: タタリ……何それ？　ー　A curse... What are you talking about?
Acony: 理由はカンタンよ　ー　It's simple.

Acony: このアパート自体が　ー　This building itself...
Acony: 壊されるのを嫌がってるからよ　ー　Doesn't want to be destroyed.

Acony: このアパートには意思があるのよ　ー　This building has its own will.
Acony: 日本では古い物に魂が宿るっていう考えがあるでしょ古い物が妖怪に変化したり　一つの生物として確立してしまうの　ー　In Japan, isn't there an idea that souls will lodge themselves in old objects? They establish themselves as one being.

Motomi: ちょっとまってよ　それは昔の人の妄想……つか物語で……　ー　Wait a minute! That's just our ancestor's paranoia... I mean, in stories...
Acony: アメリカにもあるわよそういう家　ー　America has houses like this, too.

Acony: アメリカの場合は家に悪魔が取り憑いて人を食べちゃうとかだけどね　ー　In the cases in America, the houses get possessed by demons, and just do stuff like eat people.
Acony: 日本のそーゆー概念って一神教文化の国では起こりにくい発想だから興味深いわ　ー　This concept of Japan's is conceptualized badly in monotheist nations, so I find it very interesting.
