Kinnikuman Soldier, in the bizarrest of moves, has decided to build a team out of Justice and Devil Choujin...who all have past history with Kinnikuman! But can he really convince them to be his "team" for his showdown with Super Phoenix?

Chapter 296: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (23): The Semi-Finals Begin!!

(TN: A major note I really have to get out now: Riderman = Bikeman; for some stupid reason in this chapter, he’s called Riderman…but later on, he’s called Bikeman like his name introduction last chapter, so even though he’s Riderman here, he will be referred to as Bikeman as it originally was and how it will be switched back to later)

(TN: I probably could say “lend a hand” instead of the direct “loan a shoulder”, but the image shows the “loaning of shoulders” and it is a legitimate way for assisting so I kept it as is)
Suguru: Even if we can’t fight, then all of you will surely be punished by Brocken Jr. and Buffaloman and even our newly added Justice Choujin Ashuraman!!

SPECIAL VTR XVIII
KINNIKUMAN SOLDIER’S CERTAIN-KILL NAPALM STRETCH!!

TN: For the most part this was a set-up chapter building from last time and headed towards the next chapter's true beginning of the semi-finals. I guess the list means is the best way to talk about the chapter in general due to a few things that come up:
-First of all, as cool as it was to see Soldier in action and show off against the robber, didn't it feel a bit strange that the guy automatically knew he was a "Choujin" just from his build? If many Choujin (well, the human ones) are essentially just like any other human, how in the world would the robber automatically know "he's a Choujin" just by seeing Soldier as muscular? (well there was also that mask...but who knows, maybe he's a masked priest...and speaking of which, considering there are a few movies with "muscular uber-priests", it's really weird that he would suddenly say "HE'S A CHOUJIN, RUN AWAY"!) And it does feel weird that just because "he's a complete opposite of Suguru and doesn't go after fame and glory and rather be humble about his means" is enough for them to finally join him...
-It was sort of cool to resee the "movie theater close-circuit" like from the Seven Devils arc...but I swear this entire world seems to stand still whenever there is a Choujin wrestling match. (though at least it's not a Pokemon match...or a kid's card game...or some powerful martial artist trying to save the world from some evil green guy while the only hero you can remember in the guy with the black afro-like hair and beard)
-It's official: Bikeman is the only Choujin with two names...IN CONTINUITY! I mean, where the heck did they suddenly call him "Riderman" after naming him "Bikeman" in the previous chapter! And it only gets weirder when they suddenly switch back to Bikeman later! OK, I know there are some Choujin who change in name from original fan creation to Yudetamago plot (best example: Vikingman -> Akuma Shogun) But to announce him as Bikeman, then say in this chapter he's "Riderman", then to make him Bikeman again later...it's just going to confuse people!
-We're going to really regret Robin's "supporting Justice Choujin" speech later on...trust me on that. (without spoiling)
-And of course this chapter has released the greatest and most mystical of all Choujin powers, artifacts and such: Sayuri's "Baka Mallet of Doom". I swear, the Muscle Fight makers need to make a sprite of Sayuri with the Baka Mallet and some of the wrestling moves she showed off way earlier in the series...yeah I know they don't show female wrestlers in this series but for Sayuri's Baka Mallet, I'd go for it!

Luckily that covers it...but considering this is merely transition, the next chapter will...no...no...NO...IT CAN'T BE...DON'T TELL ME THAT...(to be continued next script)
