Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (27): Hell Smile
-> RTS Page for Kinnikuman 300
Thanks to a screw-up in his revival, Warsman has forgotten all of his skills in fighting in the ring! But now with Robin returning to his teaching role of The Barracuda, will this be enough to retrain the computer Choujin in his old ways!?
Chapter 300: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (27): Hell Smile
169.
Announcer: With the guidance of his teacher Barracuda, Warsman is finally igniting his fighting instinct—
170.
Suguru: This…can’t be…
Suguru: Just with Robin Mask calling out by changing into Barracuda, Warsman, who really didn’t have his fighting instinct until earlier, is burning like he’s a different person.
Terry: Just this much of the teacher/student interval of Barracuda and Warsman can’t even be imagined by us…they’re tied by a channel of deep trust.
171.
Robin: Well, Warsman, this will prepare you to return into a perfect fighting computer. What’s left is to just pierce Manriki in front of you with the Bear Claw attached to your right hand---!!
Terry: It wasn’t any good…
Suguru: What’s wrong—Warsman, you competed in the finals of the Choujin Olympics with me three years ago. Show us once more your earth-shattering fighting from then---!!
172.
Zebra: Ha—hahaha, even with Robin becoming Barracuda and returning his coaching fromlong ago, Warsman can’t be revived now. He’s been degraded to a junk Choujin!!
Zebra: Well, Manriki, please screw that junk Choujin into your Scramble Vise and scrap him!!
Manriki: Right!!
Announcer: The Manriki has decided to aim for the faltered Warsman, with his turned upwards Scramble Vise being brought down horizontally--!!
173.
Robin: Ice: become ice, Warsman!!
Wars: I…Ice…?
Wars: ………
Announcer: The Manriki has inserted Warsman’s body into his Scramble Vise---!!
Robin: Warsman!!
Wars: Ba…Barracuda, what does “become ice” mean…
Robin: To “become ice” is to throw away the thing called “warm feelings” that is possessed by humans and only possessing a cold-hearted, cruel, cool-headed soul of ice, becoming a machine that just fights coldheartedly.
174.
Robin: If you can’t do that, then you can’t confront the wonderful power of the Zebra Corp!!
Wars: A soul of ice.
Robin: You pity the tiger, making you hesitate in piercing it but…the tiger will attack you without relating to your sympathy.
175.
Tiger: GAUU---!!
Robin: Thrown away your warm feelings! Fight with a cold-hearted, cruel, cool-headed soul of ice---!!
Wars: SCREW DRIVER!!
176.
Wars: Soul of Ice
Monitor: SOUL OF ICE
Wars: Soul of Ice: Input Complete!
Announcer: Warsman has escaped from Manriki’s Scramble Vise due to adding in a violent rotation to his body by he himself---!!
177.
Announcer: Ge—Warsman right now, with his stance in an overhead Screw Driver, is thrusting into the opening of the Scramble Vise---!!
Announcer: Warsman’s Screw Driver is gouging into the top of The Manriki’s head---!!
178.
Manriki: Gyaa--!!
Terry: That was the top of Manriki’s head, which is constantly protected by being surrounded by his huge steel Scrabmle Vise. Anyone become brittle once they take an attack there!!
Suguru & Robin: Gee, that’s Warsman’s smile!!
179.
Suguru: I hadn’t seen this even once since Warsman joined the Justice Choujin, but I have no doubt that is Warsman’s Hell Smile from his days as a Brutal Choujin.
Terry: It’s said that the opponent he’s facing will certainly die whenever that smile appears…Even in the Choujin Olympics three years ago, he massacred Teapackman and Pentagon with that smile and even Ramenman had it impossible to recover from him…
Robin: If I could, I didn’t want Warsman to be revived as a Brutal Choujin…but if I didn’t, he wouldn’t have been able contend facing Manriki’s techniques…
Manriki: Uwaa—
Wars: This time
Wars: I’m prepared to go with a Double Bear Claw.
180.
Wars: Die---!!
Manriki: I’ve waited for this moment.
Wars: Ugu
Manriki: Ha—hahahahahahahaha
Announcer: Manriki, who seemed to have lost his fighting spirit, has instantly fortified into a Romero Special when Warsman coming towards him.
181.
Zebra: Ha—hahaha, you’ve been caught in Manriki’s play, Warsman; his head was unperturbed being stuck by that kind of claws--!!
Wars: You’re quick to be pleased, Zebra-san…the caught one is your Manriki!!
Zebra: What’s that!!
Manriki: What!?
Wars: Hehehehe.
182.
Wars: Here we go: thi—s is the Wars Leg Breaker!!
Manriki: GYAA—
Announcer: Somehow Warsman has escaped from Manriki’s Romero Special by removing his own Bear Claws; and in reverse, is breaking Manriki’s legs with his weight—
Terry: But how did Warsman read that Manriki was coming with a Romero Special?
Suguru: No: it’s possible for the Warsman who has removed all unnecessary emotions from within his own heart.
Manriki: Gyaaa---!!
Terry: These screams by Manriki aren’t a play.
183.
Wars: There: cry, shout, scream: it’s a great melody to be heard for I who holds a Soul of Ice.
Robin: Stop—Warsman, I didn’t tell you to take it this far!!
Announcer: Ge—that’s the sound of Manriki’s legs breaking---!!
Wars: Hehehe, my brutal wrestling will be for real from here on!!
184.
Wars: There, you can’t use your Scramble Vise ever again!!
Announcer: Warsman has hurled away Manriki’s Scramble Vise with a Double Arm Suplex.
Announcer: This is cruel! The Scramble Vise, which is called Manriki’s life, has broken off--!!
Woman: Kya—
185.
Announcer: Has it stopped already—facing The Manriki, who is in a groggy condition outside the ring, Warsman is further aiming for a Planchard from the top of the corner.
Voice: Stop—Warsman, you’re making a mistake!!
Suguru: ………
Wars: Ki...Kinnikuman.
Suguru: Actually, your brutal fighting is a thing that will overwhelm any Choujin techniques. However, I never want to be attached to a victory in a fight with any kind of brutal fighting at all.
Wars: What are you saying? I’m doing this fight so you can ascend to the throne. You were gratified and now you’re raining on my parade? Don’t you remember?
Suguru: Change your fighting style right now. If you don’t, you’re going to get painful retaliation from your opponent!!
186.
Wars: Shut up! I will gain victory with this fighting style!!
Announcer: There it is—Warsman’s Planchard---!!
Announcer: Kinnikuman is going in, splitting the space of both fighters---!!
187.
Announcer: Other than his back, The Manriki had hidden under cover a Scramble Vise in his body too----!!
Suguru: WA…WARSMAN, THOSE EYES THAT YOU USUALLY HOLD HAS FINALLY RETUNRED TO YOU!!
Wars: KI…KINNIKUMAN
(End of Vol. 26)
TN: It's bizarre: here we are, the 300th chapter of Kinnikuman (of which I've only done about over 200) and how do we celebrate? By unleashing the murderous bloodlusted Warsman on The Manriki, that's how! Well OK, it's not quite like the Warsman of old (heck even in his Brutal phase in this chapter, Warsman still considered Suguru on his side...he never would have been like that if this was the Warsman of the Choujin Olympics), but seeing him go all psycho with his Hell Smile and his Bear Claws ripping through everything (sort of) makes it all worth while in the end, doesn't it? I know some would consider Robin's methods as going way too far, but considering the only way for Warsman to regain his memories is to relive his life, this sadly turned out to be the only way for him to regain his skills. Remember: Warsman learned how to manipulate his Bear Claws and learned many of his sickest trademarks (like the Screw Driver and the Palo Special) as a Brutal Choujin...he only learned to control them better and act all heroic after that. It's more or less natural progression, it's not anyone's fault that it came to this...well that and The Manriki had it coming, regardless of suddenly having another vise in his body to grab onto Warsman (or Suguru). My only real complaint (aside from the actual fight outside of Warsman's re-learning process being dull as heck): I know Robin wanted to teach his student a lesson with a Siberian Tiger in unleashing with a Soul of Ice...but that doesn't mean he has to kill an endangered species, does it!? (but this series never really cares about what species it drives to extinction as long as it has a good time doing so)

OH, my, this match is one of the most brutal matches I have ever seen in this arc. When I watched the anime. He screwdrivered Manriki infront of a camera. I was freaked out of the blood.
Anyways, Nice job! :D
And yeah, seeing Warsman go crazy makes the brutality somewhat sick...but at least a nice reminder of what he was before he became who he is now.
