In a risky winner-takes-all maneuver, Ashuraman has changed the style of his new special technique in a last-ditched effort to take down Satan Cross! But will this horizontal maneuver be enough to finally defeat the dual menace!?

Chapter 308: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (35): Tenacity! Izuna Drop!!

148.-149.
Ashura: Ashura Infinity Power!!
Announcer: Ashuraman has shifted the stance of his Izuna Drop that has fallen this far in height----!!
Mammoth: What’s wrong, Satan Cross, can’t you quickly reverse the stance---!!
S. Teacher: Si…since the Izuna Drop has turned sideways, Ashuraman’s body has suddenly become heavier and has become unperturbed!!
Buffalo: But why can’t Satan Cross reverse the stance with the Izuna Drop turned sideways?
Soldier: It’s a question of balance.
Soldier: A lengthwise Izuna Drop has Satan Cross’ body captured by Ashuraman’s entire body weight, making the impact big when they crash into the ring; however, since they are equal in power lengthwise, there is a problem with balance and it is easy to reverse the stance by adding in power from the side. But in going sideways, Ashuraman’s weight is hard to ride with Satan Cross’ body, but since there is good balance due to an equality of power vertically, horizontally, diagonally and to the left and right, Ashuraman’s body is unperturbed no matter how much power is added by Satan Cross.

Ashura: The Ninja, watch closely: this is the end of the man who split your body in two!
Brocken: He did it: this will destroy the lossless Perfect Victory Prediction for Team Phoenix!!
Buffalo: N…no, look there!
Announcer: Gee—the parasite Satan Cross from Satan Cross’ stomach is---!!
Announcer: Well, is this the match!?

151.
Audience: AAH
Ashore: Th…that’s!?
Announcer: Just before crashing into the wall with Ashuraman’s Izuna Drop, the Satan Cross parasite, Satan Cross, has promptly stood in front of the wall and prevented it by becoming a cushion---!!
S. Teacher & S. Cross: Kekeke—now it’s our turn.
Announcer: That technique is the Triangle Dreamer, which split The Ninja’s body in half!!

152.
Ashura: Geho!!
Brocken: Aah!!
Brocken: Uuh…from The Ninja to Ashuraman, our important teammates are going to lose again to the same technique…
Announcer: Wait, is something going on: the state of the two Satan Cross, who are releasing the technique, seem strange---!!
S. Teacher: Guhe!!
S. Cross: Goho!!

153.
Referee: Knock-out of both fighters!!
Announcer: This 49-minute fierce match of Satan Cross and Ashuraman has ended up becoming a tie with both combatants knocked out---!!

154.
Buffalo: Wh…why: why would Satan Cross, who released that reversing Triangle Dreamer at the end suddenly spit out blood and go down?
Soldier: Satan Cross intended to defend Ashuraman’s Izuna Drop by separating his body, but Ashruaman’s Infinity Izuna Drop gave an unforeseen amount of damage to both Satan Cross.
Brocken: Those two used up used up all of both their powers so they could defend Ashuraman’s Izuna Drop…
Team Soldier: It’s that severe: that technique that’s Ashuraman’s Izuna Drop……
Brocken: Ashuraman, hold on!!
Ashura: …………
Ashura: Did…I lose?

155.
Brocken: Yes, you lost, but it was together with Satan Cross!
Ashura: A knock-out on both sides?
Phoenix: Ha—hahaha, what’s so delightful with this tie, you puny Choujin?
Brocken: Phoenix.
Phoenix: Whatever you say, a tie isn’t a loss! Therefore, our lossless perfect victory prediction isn’t defeated yet!!
Brocken: Ri…right!!
Phoenix: The defeated on our team is Satan Cross alone; we still have four unwounded Choujin left.

156.
Phoenix: However, your team already has the duo of Ninja and Ashuraman defeated; what remains are you three: that’s the thing that will decide this contest.
Soldier: Gu…Gumu…!!
Announcer: Well, from Nagoya Castle, we switch our camera to the heated match of Team Kinnikuman vs. Team Zebra at Himeji Castle once again!!
Announcer: Here at Himeji Castle, we’ve started the competition of fellow Second-Guards Terryman of Team Kinnikuman and Motorman of Team Zebra some time ago!!

157.
Announcer: Terryman is on the defensive end as if he’s Motorman’s sandbag!!
Suguru: That Terry, he hasn’t healed from his injuries in the first-round yet.
Suguru: That’s why I said I’d go in his place, but…
Terry: Alright!
Terry: Kinnikuman fought three Choujin in the first-round, so he still has fatigue left from then. Robin Mask also had fought Mariposa, the don of Team Mariposa and hasn’t healed yet from the burns he took then.
Terry: Having come to that, I’m the only one left who can go into the ring.
Suguru: Terryman.
Suguru: That stupid Terryman is standing in there having taken that much damage when he broke those bones within his body when he took King the 100 Ton’s Jet Roller See-Saw in the first-round, but in spite of finally reaching this state……

158.
Announcer: Terryman has avoided Motorman’s attack with a slip and is in the stance for a Double Arm Suplex---!!
Suguru: N…no: that suplex is partially incomplete.

159.
Announcer: Motorman is in a heads-first drop aiming for the lying down Terryman---!!
Terry: ………!!
Announcer: But Terryman has barely caught Motorman’s drill-part with both hands, preventing his fall---!!
Motor: Kikiki: you’re a bad man who’s at the verge of his death!!

160.
Motor: Battery Claw!!
Terry: Uwa~~~!!
Announcer: So…somehow, Motorman’s hands are giant batteries that emit a high-tension current---!!
Suguru: TERRYMAN!!

161.
Zebra: Ha—hahaha: as expected of Motorman, one of the “Four Heavenly Kings of Team Zebra”. He has an iron-wall defense that the Texas bronco Terruyman can’t get close to even a bit.
(TN: “Four Heavenly Kings” is in reference to the term “Shitennou”, usually used for a quartet of something in many manga and anime. It can also be referred to as the “big four”)
Parthenon: It’s as Zebra-sama said.
Bike: Pathetic…
Bike: Techniques are things that first have meaning by using them with your own living body. Emitting an electric current from your body isn’t a technique, it’s just acrobatics.
Zebra: Do you intend to rain on the parade of your teammate’s fight—
Motor: Spark Ring Flash!!
Announcer: Motorman now is connecting the plus and minus of his batteries, making electricity flow within his body and lighting up his drill head!!

162.
Terry: It’s…too radiant that I can’t see in front of me.
Bike: His feet, the light doesn’t reach his feet!!
Terry: Thanks!!
Motor: Uwa!!
Announcer: Terryman is sliding!!
Zebra: What are you doing giving advice to the enemy!!

163.
Motor: Now you can’t escape!
Announcer: Now the electricity in his body is spinning his drill---!!
Motor: Drill-a-Hole Spark!!

164.
Motor: Hahaha---!!
Announcer: This is intense! Terryman has been blown away by Motorman’s drill into a straight line outside the ring----!!
Bike: Acho---!!

165.
Announcer: Wh…what is happening? Terryman, who is the enemy, has been saved by Bikeman of Team Zebra---!!
Zebra: Wh…what’s are you…!?

(SCRAMBLE FOR THE KINNIKU THRONE ARC)
SPECIAL VTR XXIX
THE TERRYMAN VS. MOTORMAN

TN: Well aside from some of the really strange situations and scenarios involved with the Ashuraman/Satan Cross fight (such as the magic shoulder pads, the breakdance move and a little cheese regarding Ashuraman's reunion with Samson Teacher), I have to say that overall it was a pretty good fight. Strange but good. And to celebrate, let's have a look as the entire fight as depicted in the anime version of this arc:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBjQ3und-Gg

Yes folks...that's it. The anime spends 15 seconds max for the entire fight between Ashuraman and Satan Cross. Everything we've just witnessed for about three chapters (since Ninja finally went down to the final cut-away for the most part) is depicted...in fifteen seconds in the anime. Personally...I really don't know why: this really is Ashuraman's only fight in the arc and his last fight in the anime (but not really going to do a memorial for him just yet considering we still may have a bit with him left) and aside some of the weird stuff, it is a fun entertaining fight. But...no: they cut away to another part and this tiny clip is all Ashuraman/Satan Cross gets. And to make things even stupider, they don't even reveal the Samson Teacher part until later on and don't even show all the technicalities this fight brought out (such as the build-up leading to the Infinity Izuna Drop or Satan Cross' save and Triangle Dreamer near the end that lead to the double knock-out). I know I really shouldn't be complaining about the anime...but considering I've heard they mostly did a good job on the Throne arc, seeing this pretty good but weird fight being treated like that does need a bit to say on it.

As for the other fight of the chapter...well, let's just say this: we have just met the stupidest looking Choujin...probably ever. There was no introduction or identity with some kid who created him or any sort of forewarning at all: all we get is Terry suddenly (without even a setup or anything) fighting a guy with batteries for hands, a drill for a head, a box with the word "MOTOR" for a body and, to top it off, eyes that seemed like it was borrowed from "the money you could be saving with Geico". Yeah...he probably isn't going to last long. (besides, if his gimmick was having a drill, at least make him look cooler...I doubt even Simon and Kamina would want to be seen hanging around Motorman) Oh...and Ramenman seems to be back...boy he likes his disguises doesn't he. (though I did like his "complaint" about techniques at one point towards Zebra's face...that was cool)

Other than all those, there really wasn't just too much stupid or complain-able about the chapter...it was alright but just seeing Motorman's ridiculousness (and being shown how little respect this major fight got in the anime) did give me some fuel. Now to recharge my own battery for a while...
