Chapter 370: Scramble for the Kinniku Throne (97): Transform! Omegaman!!
150.
Announcer: This Elimination Roulette Match of Team Kinnikuman vs. Team Phoenix has already had two victims of Robin Mask and Mammothman from both teams!!
Suguru: Continuing from big bro Ataru and Geronimo, now Robin Mask has been annihilated from this world by his Prophecy burning to it’s destruction.
Suguru: It’s truly sad that these three have been annihilated…but this isn’t a situation where these three were merely annihilated; they’ve per—fectly left magnificent lessons to us.
151.
Suguru: Big bro Ataru had the wonder of True Friendship Power without conspiracy…Geronimo the value of saving a friend even to the point of being a victim yourself…
Suguru: And Robin Mask…
Suguru: Although he seemed to help another in any dilemma, he didn’t just teach to us to have tough emotional strength to not throw away the match until the end……he left instructions for the epitome of an earnest match to his enemy Mammothman. Mammothman, knowing this epitome of an earnest match, reformed and left to us Robin Mask’s Anoalo Staff that he had hidden…
152.
Suguru: …N!?
Bottle: BIG BODY’S BLOOD
Suguru: Ooh, this is a bottle packed with the fresh blood of Big Body, who Phoenix defeated in the 1st Round!!
Mayumi: He—y, Suguru—the ceremony of dying the snow-white cloak in blood----!!
Suguru: Ooh, that’s right!!
Suguru: If I don’t dye this snow-white cloak with the fresh blood of the Five Fated Princes and make it a crimson cloak, I can’t become Great King of Planet Kinniku!!
153.
Suguru: This cloak already is dyed with the blood of the duo of Mariposa and Zebra. Here I’ll newly dye it with the blood of Big Body possessed by Mammothman.
Suguru: Alright, two places left!!
Suguru: In the two left places will be Soldier’s, who was defeated in the 2nd round by Phoenix which is possessed by Omegaman…in other words, the blood of big bro Ataru…and then if I can dye this cloak with the blood of Phoenix, then I can publicly seize the position of Great King of Planet Kinniku!!
154.
Phoenix: Ha—hahaha: what are you spitting out? Before then, I’ll defeat you, snatch that snow-white cloak and conversely dye it with your blood, making me become Great King of Planet Kinniku----!!
Suguru: What---!!
Neptune: Calm down, Kinnikuman.
Phoenix: What are you coming here for?
Neptune: Well, it’s a souvenir of your interesting teammate who fought and fell for you. Take custody of this with great care.
Phoenix: A person who switches sides to the enemy partway isn’t recognized as a teammate!!
155.
Suguru: Samurai!!
Suguru: Ow!!
Neptune: Phoenix, no matter how much power you have and techniques you know, a person who lacks sympathy towards a person isn’t qualified to be called king---!!
Suguru: Uh—
Suguru: Ooh! Samurai, who was quiet from when he showed himself before us to now, is showing on the outside his feelings for the first time---!!
Omega: Samurai, your opponent won’t be Phoenix-sama, it will be me.
(TN: It’s rather peculiar but I have to bring it up: Omegaman not only calls Phoenix as “Phoenix-sama” but refers to himself as “ore-sama”, showing his rather respectful Japanese)
156.
Omega: At any rate, it’s because I have a duty as a Choujin Hunter to expose your true identity as Neptuneman and deliver you to Choujin Enma in the Choujin Graveyard.
Announcer: Well, the 2nd Round of the Elimination Roulette Match of Team Kinnikuman vs. Team Phoenix is a destined showdown of The Samurai and Omegaman---!!
Neptune: Victory goes to the first move---!!
(TN: Neptuneman uses the Japanese expression “sente hisshou” or “victory goes to whoever makes the first move”; I just abridged it)
Announcer: Samurai has turned to Omegaman’s back---!!
157.
Announcer: And frozen Omegaman in a Chicken Wing Face Lock, a high-grade submission---!!
Neptune: This technique’s alias is the Chicken Bind!! If you don’t give up quickly, I will break your neck and arms!!
(TN: The alias that Neptuneman gives the technique is the “Niwatori no Hagaijime”; while “Niwatori” is “chicken”, “hagaijime” is “binding arms behind a person’s back”)
Omega: Fuo—fuofuo: I’m sorry to say but I have my trump card.
Suguru: A hidden hole in the middle of the canvas!
158.
Neptune: Ooh—the ceiling is splitting in two!!
Neptune: Wh…what is this!?
Announcer: Somehow the section of the top floor of Osaka Castle Tower, which has been the location of the Survival Match finals, is suddenly splitting in the center—!!
159.
Neptune: Uwa, the sunlight!!
Omega: Take this!!
Neptune: Uwa!!
Omega: Fuo—fuofuofuo: it’s finally finished: the new Osaka Castle Finals location for bringing Team Kinnikuman and Team Phoenix to its true conclusion----!!
160.-161.
Announcer: The top-floor section has transformed into a giant grandstand---!!
Announcer: Surely Osaka Castle Tower has achieved a great transfiguration into a large-panoramic stadium----!!
Mayumi: The…top floor of the castle should have the chair of the Great King for accepting the new Great King of Planet Kinniku!!
162.
Audience: Ooh—the chair of the Great King is in that place---!!
Announcer: Well, will the winner of this Survival Match and the sitter in the chair of Great King Kinniku, which is far away on the long staircase, be Kinnikuman or Super Phoenix!?
Announcer: Even with this meaning of this prediction, the showdown of Samurai and Omegaman in the ring has become important!!
Omega: Alright, Samurai: as you come to stand up, I’ll explain why I’ve changed the finals location from an indoor battle to an outdoor battle.
163.
Neptune: Do…don’t explain it to me!!
Announcer: Samurai is tacking him utilizing power---!!
Omega: This mask that I wear possesses a special feature in that it destroys the organization of an object by hitting an object in front of my eyes with a certain light and harvests it into my mask and in the next instant transforms my own body into the exact form of the object that had been harvested by the mask.
Caption: OBJECT -> OBJECT
Neptune: A….Choujin who possesses transformation ability is one I haven’t encountered or even heard of within my long life in Choujin wrestling arts.
164.
Omega: Guo—fuofuo: if that’s it, I’ll prove it by doing it! For example, that crow that’s flying over there.
Neptune: It…disappeared!!
Omega: And now the crow has passed through my mask and harvested into my body.
Suguru: Ge—there are crow wings on Omegaman’s back---!!
165.
Announcer: Omegaman is ascending together with Samurai---!!
Omega: Die---!!
Neptune: Uwa!!
Announcer: Having been struck by the iron pole, we can see a bit of Samurai’s real face---!!
Omega: Fuo—fuofuofuo: it’s because I can fully roll out with materials I can transform into around me with an outdoor battle. So now you understand why I’ve changed the location of the battle.
166.
Neptune: E…even if you’re a Choujin po…ssessing any special skill, I won’t bend…
Announcer: Samurai is rising to the top of the corner post---!!
Omega: You haven’t learned; so then, next I’ll transform into that!
Suguru: A beam to the shovel truck?
Announcer: Samurai is decisively throwing a Flying Body Attack to Omegaman---!!
167.
Omega: This is my 2nd transformation---!!
Neptune: Ge—Omegaman’s giant fingers have changed into shovels---!!
168.
(SCRAMBLE FOR THE KINNIKU THRONE ARC)
SPECIAL VTR LXXXVI (XXXXXXXXVI)
SAMURAI VS. OMEGAMAN
TN: You have to keep thinking and wondering how much of human society has to be sacrificed, destroyed and all-in-all ruined just to hold a Choujin wrestling match. It's strange enough that the beginning of the arc specifically made it sound like that Osaka Castle was built to be similar to the royal castle of Planet Kinniku. (or was it the other way around, I never got that straightened out) Considering that we've had moments where we have a floating ring in the Grand Canyon, a parallel Mt. Fuji that's a wrestling arena (with easily destroyed windows) and that the tomb of an ancient Japanese emperor was actually the key to Apollon Power, seeing the Osaka Castle parallel to Planet Kinniku's castle was probably nothing that shocking. But unfortunately, just when the castle seemed like it was going to escape the stupidity other than having rings inside of it...it becomes a massive stadium with yet even more of that braindead audience populating it than before! The only real excuse as to where those people came from I have is that it's all the ones who watched the first three matches in the arena and the first two floors of the castle...but the fact that they suddenly opened up and just automatically had mouth-gaping people in them just seemed really, really unbelievable...which for this series is not hard anymore. Heck, in some ways I had this weird image in my mind for a moment of that scene in "Big" where Tom Hanks is forced to play with "a building that turns into a robot" like it's a new style of Transformer...
And speaking of Transformers...yeah, I know I probably shouldn't have said that Omegaman would "transform and roll out" but it was just too appealing with how his Omega Metamorphoses was brought out. But at the same time, it's not really like he's becoming Optimus Prime...maybe a Constructicon with how the chapter ended, but who knows. (then again if you want to get into "damaging human property", just wait until we get to the next chapter...Omegeman's transforming power really isn't the kindest of powers as you'll soon see...then again the crow should be complaining)
