Togashi: Those are crayfish!! Crayfish are being set loose into the sand---!
Raiden: You dummies, those aren’t crayfish…!!

Anubis: Fu: their technical name is “blind scorpio”; in our land, we call them “sand scorpions”. Like this, they possess a nature of burying their bodies within the sands of the desert in the daytime, when the sun is still in the sky.

Anubis: The deadly poison they have in their tail stinger has the power to send a person instantly to that world if stung three times. In other words: somehow you can live a long life even if you’re stung up to twice, but if you’re stung three times, it’s instant death.
Anubis: This is a match of the ultimate limits, where we quarrel with emotional strength and techniques within the terror of sand scorpions which are hidden underfoot with their forms unseen!! This is what I show: the Gloom of Luxor, P – S ultimate dueling method which we will splendidly undertake.

Toramaru: Wh…what---!! Jaboku Choutou---! It’s a Chinese Kenpou too---!!
Commentary:
Jaboku Choutou…a dueling-method which occurred during Sekirou-ryuu’s commander election which was known to be stern within many schools of Chinese Kenpou. Within a two-spaces in every direction water tank filled to knee-height with a black liquid, Kokukou Snakes, whose entire body is black and possess a deadly poison, are released and you fight inside. Within the terror of seeing or not seeing the Kokukou Snakes, it goes without saying that it is requested to have a tough emotional strength on top of kenpou ability in fighting. Naturally, a major action is being lucky or unlucky. In passing: even in the present, this is the origin of the expression “You’ve been bitten underfoot by a black snake”, which is to not being rewarded in spite of endeavoring in desperation.

TN: Somehow with whatever Jaki has given Momo, it probably isn't going to be good considering it's only for opening when Momo's at wits end. Besides, it's not like he doesn't have enough responsibility, what with facing the sub-leader of Pharaoh Sphinx in a sand pit filled with deadly scorpions! (though somehow the "must be three" speech reminds me of the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch" speech) My only real complaint about this chapter: can someone tell me what that desert that was referred to was? I mean...Mail? Male? Mehl? Well...it probably is just another part of the Sahara.
