BIBIMBA, WHOSE FACE CAME TO BE RETURNED BY KINNIKUMAN’S FACE FLASH

TN: Well I know I probably said it in the last two chapters but...yeah, it doesn't bare to be repeated. We get Bibimba's love and care but it comes off like a jerk or a possessive woman who just doesn't want things to be resolved. And meanwhile...Suguru is similarly being a jerk for literally rejecting the motions of a woman for wrestling nearly naked with men and going on and on with how this fight is more important than anything, including love. I think I'll spare the rant this time since you probably heard enough in the last couple chapters but...all I can add in this this: Suguru looks like a pug-nosed fighter under that mask, not Bibimba's knight in shining armor. It is supposed to be romantic and Bibimba actually looked cuter for a moment but the whole story doesn't demand it and this chapter finally writes away any of Bibimba's relevance until Nisei.

At least the good news is that we finally get the start of the final battle between Suguru and Phoenix...though it's not like it comes without consequence. For one thing, as if it was stupid enough that we already had a scene a few chapters back where the Evil Gods fused with Phoenix so that he could be revived and have pulsating veins all over his body, this chapter the Evil Gods...do pretty much the same in "awakening all of his hidden power"...or some such, I really don't notice any difference because it's all just a means to make him at full power (or more) for the final battle. I actually did like the one moment where Phoenix finally doubts that he is the actual legitimate Prince with the Face Flash Suguru performed before the Gods started brainwashing him one more time though...it does actually add in to his delusions which will be built upon in the next couple chapters and that we saw way back at the start of the arc: that Phoenix (as Phoenixman) always had this lingering belief he may be greater than he thinks and that the Evil Gods gave him the means to reclaim everything he wanted or never got before. (though he's still a big bully)

Then there were those other things that just seemed to be moments to keep reminding Yude of what they had before...though one of them was just completely irrelevant in the first place. I mean, what was the whole point of the X-ray scenario considering that we saw the X-ray prior as the proof that one of them is the Fake Prince according to that accursed Muscle Prophecy...and not labeling it? We saw that it wasn't labeled and that neither Meat nor Mayumi confirmed who it was before the whole nonsense leading to this over-long final battle, thus it is hard to confirm unless they say so whether it was Suguru's or Phoenix's (though it should be obvious considering all the trouble that was done to keep it safe before...though I still find it ridiculous the doctor would hide it knowing it would come to screw him all those years down the line) But of course...now it's confetti, with neither Suguru nor Phoenix caring and preferring to kill one of them to prove the point ultimately. Thus...a plotline utterly abandoned before it could even be used and only brought up now with the final battle beginning. And then there was the "blood ceremony"...though it's weird they made it Ataru's and not Soldierman's, but since it was Ataru who actually fought, I guess it makes some sense. As I said: they just have to keep reminding themselves over and over so they don't forget...or remind themselves so they can throw it away.

Heh...at least we're finally starting the final battle...and we're finally in the final volume.
