This is also a ROUGH draft. Some of the phrases in here could use some rephrasing and work.

This whole section sounds a bit odd. Is it a haiku of sorts? I'm going to give my best shot on sorting it out.
Do not think of the future. / Do not pray for the future.
先にも後にも寄りかからず
Do not rely on the future or the past.
Just stay in the present. / Just rely on the Now.
Musashi's back is toward me. / Musashi has his back to me.
No, it's just Musashi philosophizing in the midst of the fight.
How about: "Pray nothing of the future."
Sounds a little better to my ears, if not "Pray not for the future." would be another option. Just trying to cut down the wording some because Musashi's being abrupt in his thoughts.
How about: Just stay in the Now.
I like the original better. I've seen it worded like that during fighting and battle related uses than anything.
I like "Pray not for the future" as you suggested.
