Hi jerks!

I bought Morning issue #36-37 with the intention of scanning the Benjamin oneshot (And Vagabond, but Log doesn't want it so I won't scan it) but I won't be scanning either. I heard there was going to be a series of Benjamin oneshots, so that'll probably lead to a tankobon and I'll just buy & scan that instead.

Anywho, I'll post the TOC (Right below this paragraph). If you want me to scan something for you, please post the page # of the manga. I can't read any of the kanji.

Well it's not that I don't want it it's that I don't need it as it's already clean, jerk.

Oh. One of the greatest mangaka ever is doing a new series. Cool. No hope of reading Futari, I assume no one will scan the mag raws. Maybe someone will translate when the first volume comes out.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the international Morning website (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-11-28/morning-manga-plans-english-site-worldwide-releases). The titles I'm interested in seeing would be Billy Bat, Kami no Shizuku and Piano no Mori. Even the ones I'm not familiar with I would even read.

Vagabond will enter an indefinite period of hiatus.
From reading his blog, it looks like he doesn't have a diagnosis yet so it's pretty scary. This was the probably the toughest decision he ever had to make, and I'm glad he was brave enough to do what he needed to do.

I wish Inoue-sensei the best with his health and life.

As of May 2010 (Volumes 1 - 33): + 60 Million copies in circulation for Japan, another + 22 Million for overseas; so altogether over 82 Million volumes printed.

I did not bother to search for any newer numbers. With the release of Vol. 34 and the time that has passed since May '10 it may not be too bold a move to assume it's gotta be around 85 Million by now.

It would be nice if seinen mags like these could get TOC updates like Jump or Magazine...
I wonder how popular series are placed in seinen mags..whether they are placed based on rankings of questionnaires or any particular order...
I'm more interested in knowing abt Uchuu Kyoudai :)

March 30, 2013, 11:15 AM
The thing is, the TOC in these magazines don't really matter. Barely anything gets canceled. And I think given how much smaller the magazines' circulations are, the TOC ranks matter even less. If they're based on reader questionnaires at all, which many think they aren't. Really, for these manga, what matters much more is how the sales of the tankoubons do.

You don't have to worry about Uchuu Kyoudai because it's one of the top selling manga around.

I usually post the ToCs of some seinen mags in my blog (Morning, Big Spirits, Young Magazine, Young Jump). If you want I can post them here too. Though I obviously prefer you enter my blog :eyeroll I wouldn't mind doing this, but as kewl0210 spotted, they doesn't work as in Jump, with all the readers vote stuuf, but actually I've watching the evolution for the last years and there are some things that can be revealing on those TOCs as well, not so accurately as in Jump, but they have some interest.

Recently I checked out Investor Z and couldn't put it aside. In two sessions I caught up to the latest chapters.
It is the most informative manga I ve read so far. The author did a great job in researching all those companies and CEOs and in putting the historical facts in an economic context. It is like reading Freakonomics .
