The novel sounds really interesting, and with Usamaru behind this it must be good.

Part of Aoi Bungaku anime series if any ones interested. Obata did the character design and the cover to a recent reprint of the book.

its a 4 ep anime , well a good psychological seinen

The anime adaptation was pretty good (in a depressive way :)), although it cut a few things out and made some slight changes. I like how they represented the life of a young sociopath.

Not sure about this manga though...

By the way, if someone would like some more information (plus commentary and analysis) about No Longer Human, check out this link. I was looking for an analysis of the story and found this blog which talks about the whole of Aoi Bungaku:

this series gives me the creeps.

depressing story. his illusion gives me chills. He might be hallucinating or schizophrenic.

Dazai & Furuya seem like a good combo considering Furuya's oeuvre, more so than Obata.
