Kaoz, I think the polls should be added AFTER the discussion, as we can´t change our votes if someone convinces us that our thoughts were wrong.

Nobody forces you to vote right at the beginning. You can wait with casting your vote until after you've discussed the match, but it's logistically easier to do it this way as opposed to having a discussion and a voting stage.

Also, since I've seen people list multiple sets in the results, these are all 1 set matches.

Well, the event is for you guys first and foremost, so I figured it might be better to hold back.

I was planning on addressing some points in here after the rounds had finished, but if there is demand, I'll make a post here and there during the actual rounds as well. Not during this one anymore though I fear since I'll be away for most of tomorrow.

You should join in during the round, Kaoz. I think it's always fun to read others opinion, even if that opinion is different than mine.

Kaoz, could you please at least give your opinion when after the voting if you aren't going to participate, I'd love to hear it.

Team 12 beats Team 11 3-0 and advances to the Quarterfinals. The bracket image has been updated accordingly.

Next up are the matches between Teams 5 and 8. Enjoy.

@Fayte, if you can see this, you know exactly what I meant with the Sanada-ism.
You mention Sanada just so much. Too much.

And yeah, Kaoz drop-in whenever on these tournaments.

It's kinda weird that Jirou lost the discussion, yet he won in the votes.

Seems that the coolest person wins here lol

That round was entirely down to popularity.
Kenya would have won 7-5 or 6-4. I have to take back the 6-3.
Honestly, if Kenya can get to the net before Jirou in every situation, eventually he will pick up the Volleys before they touch the floor and become unreturnable.

Secondly, Fayte said: ''This doesn't mean Kenya can return it, nor does it mean he will reach the ball in time. It is merely a "possibility." If you went only by this logic, that means Bunta wouldn't be able to win a game on Kenya because he would simply return every volley. We know Kenya can't return all volleys simply by the matches he has already played.''

Kenya will reach the net in time against Jirou. He couldn't reach the net in time against Shiraishi since Bible tennis does this:
http://www.mangareader.net/422-27212-3/prince-of-tennis/chapter-315.html
Inui explained the situation of how Shiraishi can pull off easy drop shots.
Jirou doesn't have Bible tennis and can't create openings like that as easily as Shiraishi can. It's never been hinted or mentioned Jirou has great technique.

Secondly, I said eventually, he will return it. I'm not saying he will be confidently returning and sealing the shot.
It's not like Marui at all. Marui is significantly better than Akutagawa Jirou. Marui is a confident Singles Player with great technique.
Comparing him to Jirou just doesn't make sense.

Whilst Jirou has one volley, Marui has three high level volleys to choose from, and Super Rising to apply pressure on Kenya. Marui is definetely above Kenya.
Jirou however just has Magic Volley which he heavily relied on.

Marui >> Jirou and Kenya.
Marui who leaves the net and returns a Dunk Smash he is just a class above man.

I don't see how you can view Akutagawa and Marui on the same level.

Small announcement:

Miyagi kindly installed a plugin for this subforum that allows you to unvote and revote in polls. That should solve any issues in that regard and you can change your vote if your opinion changes. Thanks for that.

The matches between Team 5 and Team 8 result in one win for each side and one draw. The staff decided to let the highest ranked match (with the order being Singles 1 > Doubles 1 > Singles 2) take precedence here, so Team 5 wins overall and advances to the Quarterfinals. The bracket image has been updated accordingly.

I apologize for not mentioning anything for these cases in the initial rules, it simply slipped my mind. It will be added shortly though.

Next up are the matches between Teams 7 and 9. Enjoy.

How are you going about generating teams btw? Is it random with modifications afterwards, or completely picked? Or people give input on who they want to see?

I picked all the teams in advance.

Next up are the matches between Teams 6 and 10. Enjoy.

Since these are the last matches of the first round, I'd like to get some feedback on how long the individual rounds are. Are you guys fine with 4 days as it is or do you think it's too much/too little time?
