I didn't plan it xD nor was hoping for it tbh. Was just in bed for some time watching a show (The Sinner, quite good) and fainted, woke up late to work.

What happens if you come late though, did someone tell you to work 30mins longer or you decided to do it yourself? Does someone monitor everyone‘s worktime? Just a bit curious.

We have... "banco de horas" (?) In a literal translation, an hour bank. And a company policy says we gotta have 0 extra hours at the end of 6 months. So we can skip some hours and compensate them, or have extra hours, and not work those later. But it has to be arranged with the manager. If I wanna be off for personal reasons and work extra later, or if I already have extra and have to compensate them due to the policy, I need to talk to my manager about it. Otherwise, yeah, they can report me and I could get fired due to it. If at the end of 6 months I owe hours or have extra ones, it's deducted or added to my wage.

Hm... kinda. You can't work more than 2 extra hours per day, that's our law, so it takes a while for you to accumulate a free week (our week has 40h and we're able to make 10 extra hours per week). The company is quite serious about people reaching the end of the 6 months with 0 extra hours to be paid, tho, so you can't make extra money with that. That's actually one of the indexes I follow, lol. Directors savage the managers that go to a meeting with a high result for that index and, of course, the managers pass the sodomy they suffered along to their employees.
