I am 95% sure that the artist for Bakemonogatari manga is Oh Great!, he just finished Biorg Trinity, so the timing is just right.
What really makes you think is how successful the manga was, I think the volumes sold around 90-100k.The sheer fact that Fuuka lasted this long is almost blasphemous. Seo completely ruined the happy end of Suzuka in the worst way possible with his forced, unnecessary drama 38 chapters in. I can't believe it lasted another 3 years after that. It really makes you think about the editor who allowed that to happen.
Fuuka never sold that well. What really makes you think is how successful the manga was, I think the volumes sold around 90-100k.
You are right, I did check one of the latest volumes to see the sales. Even 60k really is insulting and it even got a fucking anime, wow.Fuuka never sold that well.

The series might have gotten there at the end of the year but it never did that on Oricon. Its still baffling to think that, on average, 60k people thought this was worthy enough to continue buying.
Yeah, those are good numbers for Magazine. At least it's ending...Isn't it good enough for Magazine standards? Most of the mangas doesn't even reach such sales.
I wonder if Gotoubun will get the lead color for issue 13 since it has its third volume released the same day as Kanojo, Okarishimasu, and I believe they had lead color pages back-to-back last time. Gotoubun deserves to be consistently in the top half at the very least. It has been absolutely amazing for the last handful of chapters.Senryuu Shoujo (Lead Color Page)

Quality control is non-existent in Magazine. A bad series can run for years before management pulls it due to the lack of reader input or editorial control. (see Fairy Tail. Code;Breaker, Air Gear, or anything from Seo) It took a year and a half for them to finally pull shit like Infection from the magazine and that was mainly to push their Pocket App.The sheer fact that Fuuka lasted this long is almost blasphemous. I'd say it leans on low editorial control. Mashima has said that one good thing about weekly manga is the quick feedback to the story. So obviously the reader reactions are there but in those cases, the editor probably prioritized the mangaka's vision of what should happen and filtered out very few things. Jump is about the only magazine where editors seem to have increased control. The positive is that lots of potentially bad developments are filtered out but originality is also lost as editors might force mangaka to write events in cliche ways due to past experience.Quality control is non-existent in Magazine. Chief Director: Noriyuki Abe (Bleach, Black Butler, Boruto chief director)Release date MOVIE (8/18 ) - "Nanatsu no Taizai: Prisoner of Heaven" :
Teaser Trailer ( 27.500.000 Total Print ) :
First Poster :
The chief director worked with A1 on the Kuroshitsuji Movie: Book of the Atlantic as well, he has a lot of experience with anime movies and with shounen anime, makes sense to go with him. I can't say I'm impressed by the PV they showed, but A1 Pictures movies tend to look significantly better than their TV anime, which is something you'd expect.Chief Director: Noriyuki Abe (Bleach, Black Butler, Boruto chief director)

Hopefully this one will keep growing. Its initial sales weren't too promising, but it has been growing pretty nicely over the last 2 volumesSenryû Shôjo : 4 volumes : 250 000.

Given how stingy Magazine is with CPs if something isn't a massive hit, you can just search "Series name colour pages" and the anime announcement spread is often on the first screen on google images. Kind of funny actually.
