Chap 46 Summary

Zerofuku gets the wind knocked out of him by Buddha's surprise knee strike. The other three members of the Four Saints--Socrates, Jesus, and Confucius--are looking on... (t/n: apparently the three of them and Buddha are grouped together in Japanese culture) Zerofuku swings his axe about and attempts to hack at Buddha, but the latter effortlessly dodges. However, the audience trembles in fear when they notice that with each dodge the axe is becoming bigger. Zeus says that Zerofuku's axe absorbs misfortune--that is, the more misfortune it sucks up, the more destructive it becomes. Since being juked on is also "misfortune", the axe becomes more powerful as Buddha dodges it. However, to counter this cheat ability, Buddha has his own cheat ability to move faster than Zerofuku's strikes: "Future Sight", which is only possible for the Enlightened One. Buddha attacks Zerofuku whenever he sees an opening, quickly turning the match into a one-sided game. Brunhilde states that Future Sight only allows Buddha to see a moment ahead, but that much time is plenty for him. However, right then Buddha notices something strange about Zerofuku. He sees something which he cannot avoid within a moment, and so he uses his shield (Ahimsa) against the Seven Misfortunes to form a perfect guard...

Looks like Buddha’s prayer staff with have 6 transformations named after the 6 paths & I also think Zero’s going to get destroyed but he’ll reach some form of enlightenment during the match calm down & match Buddha

Yeah Zero might have killed anyone who fought before him. He used an attack Buddha saw coming but couldn’t dodge. That axe is definitely the strongest weapon we’ve seen thus far although it’s only real competition is Thor’s hammer.

I think it's even powerful than Thor's hammer, since just a slam was this powerful so imagine him swinging that gigantic axe at anyone lol, instant rip

The art was insanely good this chapter . One of the things I was happy about was how the God's side was self-aware and reflected my thoughts on Zero, ie "Bishamonten would've been better". Another is Buddha is the , yes he comes off as cocky, but based on what we've seen is for good reason. He is in control and you could feel it, different vibe I got from all the fighters till now. Also, those eyes, man with the right color scheme might even be Gojo tier. Overall, pretty pleased with the direction of the fight, crazy feats so far, god that ax, and it can go even higher.

Also, everyone talking about Jesus, while I'm like yo Confucius and Socrates too

Hmm, really curious how this is going to go. Buddah purifying him through enlightenment seems to be the obvious conclusion, but that might not end as we think. Zerofuku's misery might be his legit state of happiness and having him fully accept that wouldn't be good for Buddah I don't think.

In next chapter, since zero would see him missing as a misfortune - his weapon would grow even stronger. Though budha will school him.
