Description & Synopsis​

Too bad there are no scans of this, not much to discuss from raws, sumo is oddly a rare central theme in manga while I think it should get as much expousure as martial arts do in many series, granted martial arts are westernized to a bigger extent.

I read the chapter you have posted, it was quite interesting. I have never read a "sumo" manga before. Kinda funny seeing all these fat and "almost" naked guys wrestling each other.

Edit: Try finding the Japanese names of the cast as the Chinese names in the scan may vary from the original ones. I'll try to translate the manga but please search for the Japanese scan to insert the characters' names. So far, I only know the main cast. lol

the school name is Oodachi High School! (ダチ高)
the manager's name ( fat guy) : 「小関信也」 ( Shinya Ozeki ? or Shinya koseki)
The delinquent guy seem to be called 五條ユーマ ( Goyo Yuma ) (not sur about this one )

For the names, they should be alright. Ozeki is the sumo manager's nickname. I'll use this name for him since the students in the school also call him by that nickname.

i heard that wrestling is quite popular in japan, but we don't know about the popularity of this serie beside its ranking in the Jump

This manga needs ugently to be scanlated. I mean, is always in top of rankings of Shonen Jump and is very popular. How hasn't any Edited Manga group tried to scanlate at least chapter 1?

Yep, the artist is new, Hinomaru Zumou is his first serialization and i heard that he recieved an honourable mention with 'Love and Justice' in the 2009 Tezuka Award.

Hinomaru is an ancient champion, and Yuuma is learning more about Sumo. This kind of chapter is classic for manga of this genre, but it is well executed, great chapter.

Yuuma makes me think of Jumonji of Eyeshield 21.
