Synopsis

ヒロイン：杠（ゆずりは）

ある日大樹は同じ高校に通う杠に告白をするも突如として謎の光が世界を覆う
光に触れた人物は体が石になってしまう
大樹は杠をかばうように光の前に立ちふさがるが二人とも石化してしまう
そして世界中の人間が石となり数千年が経過する

ある日石の殻を破り生還する大樹
あたり一面が樹木で生い茂り、無数の石像が乱立する中。杠を探す大樹
しばらくして杠の像を発見し必ず元に戻して見せると意気込む
さらに探索を続けるうちに親友の天空と再会する
天空は大樹よりも半年ほど早く石化から解放されていた
天空に案内され森を進むとそこには天空が使った簡素な木の家があった
自分一人ではこれが限界、ここから先の文明に進むには体力バカの力がいる、と大樹に協力を求める天空
大樹と天空は互いに協力して文明の復活や石化の原因、治療法を模索していく

The Hero is the black haired guy and his name is Taiju. The Blond one is called Tenkuu and the heroine is Yuzuriha.
One day Taiju confesses to a girl (implied to be Yuzuriha) when the sky is covered in a strange light. Everyone who touched that light turned to stone. Taiki and the girl are turned to stone and over 1000 years pass. His stone breaks and he explores the world until he finds his old friend Tenkuu who was freed from being a stone half a year ago. Tenkuu guides Taiju and takes him to his small treehouse. He intends to team up with them and bring the civilization back to where it was. They decide to investigate what the light thousands of years ago was and how to fix the situation.

I liked it too. Like the concept and both protagonists. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Though that bit of dialogue at the end... "We'll become the Adam and Eve of this stone world."


I don't think that phrase means what the author thinks it means.

Wow... What a curious manga. I like the setting. I really haven't seen anything that similar to this so it's all murky going forward. It has me hooked.

Though, that Trump look alike being turned to stone was fun.

Damn that was freaking beautiful. Reminded me of this:

I think that she's already dead in the stone, or she will die as soon as she's freed. The obvious direction is obvious with this series.

You can expect a lot of very "unique" looking art in this since Boichi is in charge of the artwork. He's the guy who did Sun Ken Rock. If your not familiar, do a google image search of that you'll immediately see that he's one of a kind in terms of art style.

He's definitely highly skilled but his style is also something very different than what I'm used to seeing in a shounen weekly.

There's a pretty big difference between this and Sun ken rock/Origin. He definitely changed the style to more shonen style but the man still can't draw females to save his life

I can definitely see similarities. There are differences of course but Sun Ken Rock was not weekly. That type of detailed art simply isn't possible here where the volume of art he needs is much much larger and he's just tweaked his style a bit to account for that.

He definitely takes an unorthodox approach of female facial features but I don't think it looks bad either. Just different.

chapter 2
簡易バレ

人類が石化して3700後、ほぼ同時に石化が解けたことからそこに何か合理的な意味があるはずだと説く千空
石化していた大樹がいた洞穴では蝙蝠の糞から生まれた水、硝酸が滴り落ちていた
ためしに石化した鳥に硝酸をかけてみるも変化なし
似たような作業をこれまで何十回とこなしてきた千空はせめて酒があればナイタール液、工業用の腐食液が作れるのにとぼやく
すかさず大樹は山で見つけてきたブドウを千空に差し出す
早速踏み潰しワインをつくる二人
ワインが出来上がると今度はそれを蒸留しブランデーをつくることになったがこれがうまくいかない
何度も挑戦しては失敗し、やがて季節は冬、そしてもういちど春がやって来る
実験開始から一年、ようやく腐食液を完成させた二人はさっそく石化した鳥にかける
表面の石が剥がれ落ち大空に羽ばたいていく鳥

千空「大樹が見つけたブドウのおかげでうまくいったのだから最初に助ける人間はお前が決めろ」
大樹「答えは決まっている！」

They spend the chapter trying to find a way to undo the petrification.
First they see that in the cave Taiju was in, nitric acid coming from bat-poop was dripping down. So they try it on a petrified bird but without success.
Senkuu says he would be able to produce Nital if he had alcohol.
Taiju quickly brings him grapes, which they promptly turn into whine and then try to distill into brand, without success.
It takes them a whole year until they finally manage to produce the stuff.
They try it on the bird and it works.
Since Taiju brought the grapes he gets to choose who is released first.....
