I never believed an anime would make Black Clover sell more than 500k per volume, it probaly will sell what World Trigger sold after the second year of the anime, and reach 250k-300k per volume.

After getting an anime, both Neverland and Yaiba will sell more than Black Clover, mark my words.

I think its too early to say that, neither of those seem like theyd make good or popular anime. Especially if one of them gets shaft.

I actually agree it's a difference between filler and expanded canon content. For example of straight up filler is something like the Power arc or the useless Jiraiya Scrolls arc from Shippuden while expanded canon content would be something like the 2nd Chuunin Exams arc or even the Infinite Tsukuyomi dreams. It's all filler regardless but different kinds to it. The Tsuyu example was more expanded canon content since her selected teacher was mentioned in the actual manga.

What author said such thing? Lack of planning is not to be proud of, letting anime producers thinking about your story when you are responsible for it.
I realize that people have a huge difficulty in saying that they like a given filler. "I like this episode, but no no no, it is not filler, it is expanded canon (invented term), it is not filler... It is filler, but actually, it is not filler." Man, just say that you liked the filler, nobody will arrest for that. XD

The Black Clover episode in discussion literally includes major world building exposition, and shows a major turning point in a character's backstory which completely changes his personality.
Even if it's not in the manga, that's more than just "Padding".
Padding/filler would be an added scene where Asta masturbates for 5 minutes.

I've never read it but that seems like a pretty good run time for a gag series. I do hope that Isobe's writer got to end the series the way he wanted to instead of being forced to end it.

Lol, I doubt that Shuudan is going to explode in popularity anytime soon. I would like it to stick around, but the odds are really stacked against it.
