sometimes i get a little carried away with it liking just about any post i agree with

but in the more traffic heavy threads i usually only like a post when someone takes my back in an argument or says somethimg profound that i like

i usually only thank posts that actually inform me on something new or give me a new prespective to view the subject on

This is pretty much my stance, im not gonna spam it

but there is no reason to conserve likes and thanks for special occasions

if someone says something you like, like it

if someone helps you out or answers a question thank it

To be honest, I don't like a post very often.

In order for me to like a post, it would have to be something that I 100% or close-to-100% agree with. As a general rule, I only like posts if I can ever see myself posting the exact same thing.

Even if I agree with half the post, that's usually not enough for me to give out a "Like".

There are rare exceptions, but this is generally the case.

A decent amount, because of my weird schedule I'm up during odd hours though which leaves me to posting generally really early U.S. time. We have alot of people from all over the world here though so it's not too bad.

I think Likes are generally a light-hearted way of showing your appreciation for a post. No point in being stingy

I like posts that I find to be enlightening, contributive, funny, posts that make me happy and of course viewpoints that I can agree with.

Mainly i give likes to something i agree on but also i give likes to appreciate someone's work on something
