Musical Cover Contest: Gnarls Barkley - Crazy cover by Organizized

(Might as well upload this now since I already know I won't have time to record in the coming week.)

It's spring, the time of year when I listen to the most up-beat, happy pop music. This isn't up-beat, happy pop music, I know, but it is honestly one of the best pop songs I know, and one of those songs I've always wanted to make a cover of. So I did.

Started out as an "acoustic guitar and vocals" version, but added some bass drum and software brass sounds for effect. There's always gonna be things I wanna fix, vocal takes I wanna re-do, but as I said I won't have the time for it - and honestly for once I'm pretty happy with the result anyway, so. Hope you enjoy it!

Acoustic guitar, bass drum, MIDI brass and vocals recorded (and mixed) by myself.

Music and lyrics by Thomas DeCarlo Callaway and Brian Joseph Burton (a.k.a. CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse), and originally released as the duo Gnarls Barkley.

The original song samples the track "Last Man Standing" from the film "Django, Prepare a coffin", written by Gian Franco Reverberi and Gian Piero Reverberi (and as such they're also listed as songwriters).

Musical Cover: Estelle and AJ Michalka - Here Comes a Thought cover by Elusia

Well here's a cover I wanted to do for a long while now XD

Steven Universe has a lot of great songs but this one is definitely my favorite, along with It's Over, Isn't it? and Stronger than You. I guess it's because it's easy to sing to and I find it relatable, especially in hardships in my life. I'm glad that this song was made :blush

Sorry in advance for that weird audio. I'm not really good at editing but I tried my best. Please enjoy!

Vocals recorded by me

Here Comes a Thought is composed by Rebecca Sugar and the vocalists of the song are Estelle and AJ Michalka.

Recorded in Add Music to Voice and edited in Lexis Audio Editor.

Musical Cover: Wave (Tom Jobim / Frank Sinatra) cover by Farfalla

BLEH, ENJOY THE BOOBS SO YOU CAN TAKE SOME PLEASURE FROM THIS XD
Freaking introversion, shyness and all together are making me a nervewreck alrdy :emocat So I reached the "wanna be done with it" point^^"
The start is more clear, then I disappear along with my confidence '-'

Wave was recorded by Frank Sinatra in an english version, but was written by Tom Jobim, a Bossa Nova composer and singer (and af caus, he recorded the brazilian lyrics for Wave as well). Hardy said they were close, and that's why Sinatra recorded a handful of Jobim' songs. I tried to sing half in portuguese and half in english xD
Frank Sinatra's version - Tom Jobim's version

So close your eyes, for thats a lovely way to be
Aware of things your heart alone was meant to see
The fundamental loneliness goes whenever two can dream a dream together
You can't deny, don't try to fight the rising sea
Don't fight the moon, the stars above and don't fight me
The fundamental loneliness goes whenever two can dream a dream together
When I saw you first the time was half past three,
When your eyes met mine it was eternity
By now we know the wave is on its way to be
Just catch that wave don't be afraid of loving me
The fundamental loneliness goes whenever two can dream a dream together
When I saw you first the time was half past three
When your eyes met mine it was eternity
By now we know the wave is on its way to be
Just catch that wave, don't be afraid of loving me
The fundamental loneliness goes whenever two can dream a dream together

Musical Cover: Ted Huggens - New Baroque Suite - Part 2 Air, cover by Valhalla777 (feat. my ragtag small hometown orchestra)

Damn, all these awesome vocal covers and im here with an instrumental classical cover :xp
Well since im a lost cause when it comes to singing i went with the trumpet that i play for 15 years already (goddammit i feel old). I play in an small local orchestra for 15 years, so at least the instrumental skills came in handy.
The song "New Baroque Suite" that me and my orchestra covered is a famous composition of Henk van Lijnschooten or better known as Ted Huggens.
We covered the second part that is called Air (New Baroque Suite Part 2 Air). Very nice composition with a cool solo :verily

Huge thanks to my homeTeam orchestra Goranski Orkestar. Honestly the recording wasnt even intended for this event cuz it was mainly for training purposes for upcoming hometown/region events. But since i saw there would be a musical competition on MH i used this recording we made a while back ( i wasnt able to make anything else these past two weeks cuz i was away from home, college stuff).
Instruments used:
Trumpet flugelhorn 1
Trumpet flugelhorn 2 and solo --> yours truly
Trumpet x2 (following numbers)
Flute x4
Clarinet x2
Saxophone x2
Baritone/Tuba x3
Bass
Drums
