Unbelievable, so sudden... I was going through his tweets not a week ago and his most recent retweet was yesterday.
May he rest in peace.

I'm glad to see Rokudoe, Atsumare, Iruma, and Beastars on the list, but it is really sad and pretty surprising about Hachi. I didn't think it would sell that badly, in fact, I thought it'd do pretty decently. How did Jitsu wa do when it first released?Shoseki Ranking July 2-8

That's really sad. It's such a fun series and deserves much more.
The Hachi news make really sad. I like the manga.I'm glad to see Rokudoe, Atsumare, Iruma, and Beastars on the list, but it is really sad and pretty surprising about Hachi. I didn't think it would sell that badly, in fact, I thought it'd do pretty decently. How did Jitsu wa do when it first released?
I was expecting, at least, Rokudou level of sales.I'm glad to see Rokudoe, Atsumare, Iruma, and Beastars on the list, but it is really sad and pretty surprising about Hachi. I didn't think it would sell that badly, in fact, I thought it'd do pretty decently. How did Jitsu wa do when it first released?
I believe it sold around 6000 volumes on its first week. Here's the link to the web page I got that information from.I'm glad to see Rokudoe, Atsumare, Iruma, and Beastars on the list, but it is really sad and pretty surprising about Hachi. Has Inferno been officially cancelled yet? I'm glad to see Iruma getting a bit more security after it started out in such a precarious spot. Its been almost an year since i did posted how i though the magazine was, so here is an update.
Important
Baki
Yowamushi Pedal
Saint Seiya Next Dimension
Semi Important
BEASTARS
Baki, Pedal and Saint Seiya importance to the magazine have not changed. Baki dou has ended but its sequel is likely coming this year. Beastars is the recent addition, it has gained significant attention and its sales have increased but i do not see its at the level of the others in importance.
Old Guard that won't end in the near future
Appare! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku
There was a name change but things continue as normal for Urayasu
Established
Atsumare! Fushigi Kenkyuubu
Rokudou no Onnatachi
BEASTARS
Rororro
The Vampire Dies in No Time
Some additions, The Vampire dies in No Time due to its stable sales and safe position in the magazine, Rororro for the same reasons.
Stable
Mairishimashita! Iruma-kun
Himawari
Harigane Service
Iruma shows decent sales (acc to shoseki) but its position in the magazine is not quite secure, Himawari sales are not great for how
Harigane sales have dropped and so has its status in the magazine.
New
Junior
Akatora
Weekly Hachi
Hachi first volumes sales have come out but its early for me to judge its status.
Ending soon -
Chosokabe
Very close to reaching 50 chapters but seems like it is at a climax and possibly will end soon
Cancelled in the near future
Mound no Taiyou
Cancelled
Gyakushuu Inferno
all reference to sales are according to shoseki and oricon when relevant.
Not officially but it is doomed and should end with in the next few issues for the future new series round after this current one. for some reason Mound no Taiyou digital volume 1 and 2 will be available on the 23rd of July, before its print releas on the 8th of august.Has Inferno been officially cancelled yet? Yeah, right now it seems like Champion has a pretty nice variety of genres going on that are doing well. I wonder if they'll stick to trying to find an action/gory/horror series like what Great Old and Inferno both tried to be. Depending on how big the new serialization round is, I could actually see Shutsujin surviving another round since it looks like Inferno definitely will and Mound may both end before it. Plus, isn't there an open slot from Samejima? Not officially but it is doomed and should end with in the next few issues for the future new series round after this current one. for some reason Mound no Taiyou digital volume 1 and 2 will be available on the 23rd of July, before its print releas on the 8th of august.
With a new romcom lined up and sports series which i think the magazine was lacking in, i wonder what the next new series round will hold, i personally would like a horror horror, suspense mystery by possibly Suzuki Yuuta or Sugiura Kou both talented guys that i have seen in champion magazines within this genre.
Junior is looking good to survive at least for now.
It does feel like its in it's final arc, although it could probably go on for a while longer.Doesn't Magical Girl Site already fit the edgy action horror niche? It's a successful enough series too that they don't need to worry about it (unless it's ending soon? I haven't read it yet myself).
