Here’s the first chapter of beast no. 6. The art is great and the battle sequences look cool, but I will have to read it in English to judge it anymore. Definitely am excited for shonen magazine releasing occult/dark fantasy manga as that is my favorite sub genre of battle manga. I hope it stands out since occult battle manga had become a staple in the rival magazine shonen jump.

Witches was meh, the MC is quite bland and same goes for the characters/world itself isnt all that interesting even with the exposition dumps (I think some of the dumps made it worse imo). The gags aren't all that great either. Shangri-La on the other hand is a fun read, the monster designs/art are solid and the fights are good. I'm enjoying that it's taking the time to build up the game itself.

Damn can mangadex please translate beast no6. That was the most fire series from this mag in awhile, the art was even better from the color page lol.

Also any news on with mashima announcements? I've been playing the FT RPG (would love a HxH game like this) so I was thinking one of it might be DLC

I definitely thought the same way, but every translator I've shown it to has told me it's boring even though it looks cool :x

Also MangaDex doesn't actually translate stuff, it's just a website that hosts sc*nlations for groups.

Did something happen with Hajime no Ippo? It isn't on the ToC nor listed as absent or hiatus, but I didn't see anything about moving elsewhere.

Hajime no ippo isn't included in digital version of magazine, that is why its not in there.

The official translations are already more than half way caught up to the raws. This volume starts the Awaji island recapture operation arc, here's hoping for a simulpub.

It's accurate and Orient is suffering a decline but its not the only series suffering a decline. EZ is in a similar position to Orient. I think it's early to say that Orient's future doesn't look bright, an anime can fix it even considering that reversing this downward momentum will be tough. I'm very confident with the source material and an anime is still possible. Plus Orient has gotten the most reprints this year compared to prior years. Regardless, Orient is safe till it gets an anime imo and if it flops then its time to worry. Ngl Orient & EZ both suffered even steeper declines with their recent volumes.

As for the anime there are some concerns for me since it is the hardest to adapt from the 2018 batch. Ufo or DP are my top picks but a big factor for Orient's future is also how much they will adapt. I think if they make it 2 cour and adapt up to the Awaji island arc then it will greatly improve the chances of it being a hit since its the most popular arc. The issue is that the awaji island arc isn't done yet which that means we won't have the anime for a long time. It can still be a hit if they did 1 cour and adapted up to Daito Mine arc but its chance are increased if they adapt Awaji island imo (even if it means condensing that many chapters into 2 cour).

That's my thoughts regarding Orient's future. The anime is obviously the key & I hope they dont give it to a bad/incompetent studio/staff. I think realistically it'll probably go to Bones or CloverWorks (a studio with the image of adapting anything) and 1 cour is probably the way they'll go. I'm sure Kodansha wants to fix the downward trend asap and the series already has 100+ chapters.

Hardly any. The recent promotion if you could call it that was the popularity poll and prior to that was its 2nd anniversary LCP. It did get it's promotion for volume 1 much like the other series in that same year and sometimes gets a CP whenever a volume is about to drop.
