February 17, 2008 12:53 PM
Oh absolutely; completely agree. I didn't have anything to add to the discussion, so I thought I'd toss in some useless trivia :p
February 17, 2008 12:44 PM
quick note: I always thought the pun for smoker's fruit was a reversal of kumo, the word for cloud, and not sounding like muke, a reversal of a part of kemuri.
January 27, 2008 12:15 AM
Another great review dude, rock on. As usual, thanks for all your hard work.
I hafta say though, with regard to your argument against Brooke joining the crew, I had some musings about one of your...
January 26, 2008 11:03 PM
Long time, no chat. As always, a great review! And since I took a bit of a OP break over the holidays, it's nice to have these to help get back into the swing of things, and to get...
November 27, 2007 11:50 PM
Oh I'm in complete agreement. Though there are plenty of unanswered questions about how things works and the like, and though I've discussed at length possible ways to explain some of the remarkable...
November 27, 2007 11:43 PM
Plus she's got a beer belly (...even though her drink of choice appears to be wine. I was gonna say wine belly, but of course, no one has that. So, whatever. SHE'S FAT CUZ SHE DRINKS, lol.) and...
November 27, 2007 11:35 PM
Well if you're gonna buy that radioactive fallout mutated ONE plant/tree/vine thing somewhere in the grand line (I thought I remember hearing it might even be underwater?? How nuts would that be?!)...
November 23, 2007 05:00 AM
A few thoughts.
First, I'm pretty sure Robin said that Aokiji was the "marines strongest fighting force" or the "marines strongest fighter" or some phrase like that. Now do correct me if I'm...
November 21, 2007 02:09 PM
But that's the thing sharingan! Luffy DOESN'T do that! He only invites very specific people. And recall that throughout the adventure so far, there've been plenty of people who've done things that...
November 06, 2007 12:24 PM
I have to disagree. I've always thought the yonkou were pirates that started out like many others; unworthy of note. And, over time, they grew in strength and prominence and notoriety until they...
October 23, 2007 11:42 PM
Sorry dude, I don't know of any scanlations lying around. I just have 'em, vaguely know what's in them, and enjoy lookin' at 'em. Your best bet is prolly to just search around forums and stuff and do...
October 23, 2007 10:08 PM
I looked it up and it said he did (among MANY other things) Jaken in Inuyasha. I can't really imagine Jaken's voice w/ Brooke's body, but I suppose he'll change it up a bit. Guess we'll hafta wait...
October 19, 2007 09:44 PM
How about an ugly mermaid? Like a skillful fighter still, just mannish or really ugly or something, haha. That'd be quite amusing.
October 19, 2007 09:41 PM
And let's not forget that lazy definitely doesn't translate to weak. Just think about Ao Kiji. He takes lazy to a whole new level! As well as ass-kickery, lol.
I will say this though. After...
October 18, 2007 08:15 PM
Are there other Shichibukai organizations or something that I don't know about? lol
Perhaps you meant "...always has at least one woman in his groups." or something. In most pirate crews, in CP9,...
October 18, 2007 08:11 PM
Dude, there's a whole sub-forum about data-book translations. Go check it out. You can get to it from the main forum page.
October 18, 2007 11:29 AM
On the contrary, I'd love to see some more back story. Shame on you for not wanting to check that out. And you're totally simplifying; there's undoubtedly WAY more to both of those events, as I'm...
October 18, 2007 12:56 AM
Hmmm, I'm thinkin' a (seemingly) useless old person. That might be a cool way to get some more back story on stuff. Of course 1) we already met a bartender like that back in Loguetown (though that...
October 18, 2007 12:16 AM
Well, I don't speak German, so I'll just hafta take your word for it, lol.
October 18, 2007 12:14 AM
wow really? news to me...
October 16, 2007 09:24 PM
Yeah seriously Dutch, you've some flawed assumptions that totally throw off the results.
First off, recognize that Yonkou probably ARE stronger than Shichibukai, and I'll prove it using a really...
October 16, 2007 09:05 PM
And what information might this be??
October 16, 2007 09:03 PM
Hahaha, I've read a lot of your posts Impel, and that goes right to my favorite, lol.
...rofl, hahaha. That made my day.
October 16, 2007 08:59 PM
Matrioshka (maybe a 'y' instead of an 'i').
Well the stitches must be there for SOME reason (though if they're not, then that's just whack). But if we assume there's a purpose, then they must be...
October 16, 2007 12:36 PM
Um, just on like forums and stuff. That's the buzz.
Yeah, I really only say unfortunately because I DESPERATELY want to see Brooke and hear him chat w/ the SH's and stuff. But hopefully, Ice...
October 16, 2007 01:30 AM
Maybe if you used a sword made out of kairouseki, you'd be able to cut logia users (like cutting a real person with a normal blade). I bet that'd work.
October 16, 2007 01:21 AM
Yeah, those are apparently the main characters (there could be more I suppose) that will be in the upcoming (way-too-damn-long...) Icehunter Arc. That is, incidentally and most unfortunately, filler.
October 16, 2007 01:19 AM
Or it could just be nothing. And I'd say that's just as likely as it being crosshairs (if not more so) because quite honestly, though it could resemble a pair, there are so many variations in...
October 16, 2007 01:13 AM
...that was probably the craziest serious prediction ever. And that would be QUITE the chapter wouldn't it? Oda'd prolly hafta stretch that to 5-ish or 6-ish or so...
Don't really see that...
October 15, 2007 03:22 PM
Ok, Imitorar, gotta disagree with you man. When Oda says strongest, what he most likely means is who would win in a fight. That's ALWAYS been the definition of the word "strength" in One Piece....
October 13, 2007 07:13 PM
Or, we could REALLY stay on topic and respond to the question "Who's the most strongest guy in op?"
Ok, thread's done. What do you want to talk about now?
My point is that...
October 13, 2007 01:50 PM
I've always thought that Oda kinda just says "OK" or "That's lame" once the storyboards for the fillers are done (or at some other point in the development of a filler), and that he's not really...
October 13, 2007 01:01 PM
Lucci is stronger than Kaku (fairly significantly so I think), so your comparison is a bit baseless. That being said, all of his rokushiki techniques are more advanced than Kaku's as well. So if Zoro...
October 13, 2007 12:55 PM
...of course he's the "superior swordsman" as Luffy doesn't use them.
And so what if Zoro slashed Luffy twice? He didn't win that fight.
And MOST importantly, it's filler, it's not canonical,...
October 13, 2007 12:52 PM
About Kuma, I think it's more of a desire to know as opposed to a need. I think he just wants to send them somewhere pleasant, as opposed to being restricted by not knowing where they'd like to go.
October 13, 2007 12:42 PM
Excellent review, as always :). And dude, great job predicting almost the entire chapter, haha; you got Kuma to a "T" - brilliantly done.
Now, you discuss Moria's extraordinary skill controlling...
October 12, 2007 05:26 PM
Really quickly, the brainwashing-reference was from the memory-loss island (i totally don't remember what it was called). Both Luffy and Zoro lost their memories, and proceeded to have a little duel....
October 12, 2007 05:21 PM
...or he just doesn't use it for everything. Maybe it's tiring?
October 12, 2007 07:12 AM
Nope, sorry. Mihawk is definitely a more proficient swordsman, but that doesn't make him stronger overall. Since Oda's said it, that's the way it is; Whitebeard is the strongest in the entire world....
October 12, 2007 02:09 AM
Interesting comparison, Kuma and Whitebeard. Based on comparing Shanks' height to that of Luffy to that of Nami, I'd agree that Kuma's got the edge in height, but not that he's got the edge in...
October 12, 2007 02:05 AM
First - Nico Robin. What needs be said about her? Brilliant and beautiful, calm and (very) capable, daring yet endearing; a perfect combination :)
Second - Monkey D Luffy. The protagonist of...
October 12, 2007 01:42 AM
Thanks so much! I've been looking everywhere for these, and I can't wait til I got 'em. Since I don't read japanese, now would be a good time for me to find a translation, haha. Thanks again.
October 08, 2007 05:11 PM
Hey dude. Superb review, as always :)
I love that you find interesting little trends and patterns to throw in to your analyses; the bit about Luffy's weaknesses for example. It adds quite a bit.
