[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

Yup, final arc and final volume. Makes sense since Sunday likes to give stuff four to five volumes before giving up on it. I do hope Drea.Mer can get past that fifth volume.

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

I never actually thought of it that way. You may have an excellent point about Sunday's "identity", which is something we've been trying to figure out for a while. Still Sunday's got the lowest...

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

I'd like to see something more action oriented sooner rather than later. I also feel the same way about Keijoo, but it's probably not going anywhere since unlike all of the other new series it's not...

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

This has nice art, but another school comedy? (Granted this one is about the instrumental club.) Just like I mentioend in the write up, I feel like Sunday is getting oversaturated by these things....
  5. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

The same could be said for some the successes in the main magazine really, but lets not forget that an opinion is an opinion and not a fact. I'm sure there are people who think the opposite of you...

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

Wow. Color me surprised (with a hue of relieved) so all of those adverts in Sunday were sorta true. So it just had a really bad first week after all huh? 20 thousand is pretty good for a relatively...

And another one bites the dust. Again, not my fault since I'm not TLing Rion but it still hurts. That being said, with it being anime season it might just be that it fell through the cracks and once...

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

It seems like I should just give up and do these every two issues. Every time I sit down to do one, another issue comes in and I end up having to do write ups on both. Anyway here are Issues 18 and...

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

Hm. I guess that sorta counts, but Eva is/was an anime first and a manga afterward. I'm talking about like a series that's only manga getting a cover without actually being in the running.

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

The Drea.Mer promotion is super redonk man. Now they're having a Q&A session with Bako via twitter, and giving volumes away for the Dori audition thing. Is the series doing' badly or well? I can't...
  13. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

See, shifting the hyperbole aside this is actually a cogent post about likes and dislikes about this series. It's still fairly early in so some of the points about other characters are a little bit...
  14. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

I haven't read past chapter six or so, but I really like it. It has a really good sense of pacing and the characters are fun if not engaging. I really like the role reversal that the girl is the...
  15. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

I love Sorachi's simple, but fun color pages. It's a shame he's allergic to working really hard on these so they don't happen often, but they're great when they do.

  18. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

[Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan)

  20. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

  24. [Mag Talk] Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk
