    [Done] Re: Some questions

    Now I'm pretty sure her response would be translated something similar to:

    "ああ あいつ昔からイザって時に出るクセがあんのよ” => "Ah, when it comes down to it, his old habit appears."

    "オレの封印された左がとーこーよく言ってたからなー" => "He...

    [Done] Re: Some questions

    I read this sentence with the 主語 being an "あいつ" that is understood. I interpreted this sentence being something like あいつよく "オレの封印された左" がどーこーよく言ってたからなー because he/she (the person actually speaking)...

    [Done] Re: Some questions

    This is only my interpretation, so I may be completely off the mark, but "オレの封印された左" (from #2) sounds like he's talking about his "forbidden left something". That something usually means his "fist"...
  4. [Done] Re: Help with one line in Naoki Urasawa's Monster chapter 3

    「銃創を利用して皮切を行なう。」 is the line in question correct?

    I would translate as "We will use the bullet wound to start the incision."

    I'm a little unsure how you should translate the 皮切. It generally...

    [Done] Re: A simple line

    誰かいるのか... is better translated as "Someone's here...?" because it's a rhetorical question and we assume that he's already answered that question himself. That's just a minor difference. What...

    You're right on Line 1.
    Line 2: That name is "Yuuko".
    Line 3: In most of the school's rumors-
    Line 4: That name, "Yuuko", comes up, right?
    Line 5: I'm thinking

    [Done] Re: Could someone help me with this sentence?

    I realize this says it's solved... but I don't think Ju-da-su's translation is correct... His explanation for the phrase くらい is correct, though.

    くらい in this context means 'Almost'. I'd translate...

    そんな前のこっちゃねえほんの数年の昔さ is the contraction of そんな前の事ではない、ほんの数年の昔さ which translates as "It wasn't that long ago, it was only a few years in the past."

    はったおすぞ = Ha'Taosuzo

    In kanji: 張っ倒すぞ

    It's an informal way of saying 張り倒すぞ meaning "(I will) smack you down."

    Sticky: [Help] Re: Hunter x Hunter 296 Translation

    For Page 1:
    - 仲間は売れない!
    Friends can not be betrayed! (That's just semantics, the phrase doesn't imply the first person so using 'I' seems awkward)
    - タコ、相討ち上等!! (This one's really hard to...
