The MC looks a bit different, like he didn't have that whatever that is on his back. Maybe it is just a rework....
November 28, 2015 12:17 AM
Yea, I love this mangaka's art style and that oneshot. Wondering what kind of adjustments could be made for a serialization. Gah now I want to read it again.
November 27, 2015 11:15 PM
It was a good adventure manga with fantastical elements. I'm a sucker for designs and worldbuilding.
On a si lair note, does Hajime Bako have Twitter? Would love to send him some encouraging...
November 27, 2015 11:11 PM
Best Blue took too long to introduce elements from the oneshot. I had high hopes for it. Gonna have to stick to Somersault Turn for my swimming manga fix.
November 27, 2015 08:49 PM
Such a good series that was on the cusp of becoming great. Hopefully the French have a fonder appreciation for it.
November 27, 2015 01:59 PM
It's a better fit for Jump Plus, it would sooner go there before being cancelled or Jump Next. That's what my Side Effect tells me.
November 26, 2015 10:16 PM
Gunjou no Magmel is going to have a special chapter in issue 2 of Jump, so they haven't given up on it yet...
November 26, 2015 01:11 PM
It was a good oneshot, but I think it had the same flaw as Mitsukubi Condor, Ishiyama doesn't know to write to a target audience yet. I'm eager to read this new oneshot, he's got a lot of talent,...
November 25, 2015 09:36 PM
Even committed readers are getting tired of Nisekoi's meandering "plot" Hopefully it ends with the next serialization round.
November 24, 2015 04:36 PM
Goodnight, Two Three. It probably wouldn't have survived anyways, but maybe it would've been better to debut it when Ace of the Diamond was on hiatus, rather than right after its return.
November 23, 2015 02:07 AM
They have Yowamushi Pedal and The Day of Switching-On. There's quality there.
Sunday readers better not disappoint me with Nippen.
November 22, 2015 05:21 PM
No, I've been reading it. It had a really unique foreboding presence and world, but is been a bore since. The newcomers tournament was more like a family gathering, it was so haphazardly put together...
November 22, 2015 04:30 PM
I don't have access to up to date info on Champion, so I can't update the thread regularly.
I really hope Be Blues gets an anime next year.
November 22, 2015 03:04 PM
Don't know how I forgot, since I own volumes of it. Maybe they should get to work on an anime for it. :) Anyeays, Sunday's sports manga ratio is nowhere near Jump's, WSM, and even Shonen Champion....
November 22, 2015 03:02 PM
I thought the first chapter was SUPREME, but it did absolutely nothing after that. It has some of the most awkward pacing in any story I've ever read. Just a big disappointment for me since I had...
November 22, 2015 02:26 PM
I wouldn't say at all that Sunday is betting on sports manga. They have two, Major 2nd and Nippen. And two hybrid/cross genre series in Keijoo and Katsuki no Tyrant.
November 22, 2015 01:30 PM
Its being received well solely on its premise and author. It's been nothing but a disappointment after the first chapter. Really disappointed in the WSM audience.
November 21, 2015 05:32 PM
I hope the EiC focuses on pushing one shots. WSM seems to lack them, and I think it is a great way to build up talent in your magazine.
November 18, 2015 05:16 PM
I thought Desert Eagle would just crack the top 100, but I know nothing of it or its subject matter. Two Three, yeah the writing was on the wall there. I'm still morning the loss of Battlefield No. 5.
November 17, 2015 09:14 PM
Yeah, that's what I meant. Though I don't know Bessatsu's standards. They seem to cancel things more aggressively than Jump.
For WSM, I don't see Desert Eagle and especially Two Three doing well...
November 17, 2015 03:00 PM
Wish WSM was more aggressive with their one shots, rather than wasting space with special chapters of their soulless spin offs.
Edit: I was just looking at Shoseki and the new series didn't do...
November 17, 2015 11:11 AM
Goodnight sweet prince.
All my good vibes are now reserved for Nippen, do not disappoint me WSS audience.
November 16, 2015 09:54 PM
Yes, Kaito is a woman.
So you want to change your name to Galaxy Gangs now?
November 16, 2015 03:01 PM
I knew you would enjoy it!
November 15, 2015 01:13 AM
I forgot my opinion on Hatsukoi Zombie. Haha it's not on Maru anymore so I can't reform the opinion. Anyone else read Nippen and enjoy it?
November 14, 2015 01:51 PM
That's usually around the time they start taking in the reader feedback.
November 12, 2015 01:19 PM
It has showcased the competitive friendship aspect to heights Tokyo Wonder Biys wasn't able to achieve. Seriously guy, check it out. Or wait for Monday.
November 12, 2015 08:34 AM
I really enjoyed Buddy Strike. Kaito certainly evolved as manga. She put the focus early on the characters, while showcasing a hint of action with her dynamic art and perspective. We know she can...
November 12, 2015 04:48 AM
Psyren ran for 17 volumes it wasn't a failure. I think Shogakukan should sweep him up. They need warm bodies over there. I hope can have another continuous serial somewhere else, I like what he is...
November 10, 2015 04:36 PM
Some fan bases are just different. Soul Catcher(s) popularity poll participation blows any other manga out of the water. Winner had over thirty thousand votes. I'm surprised Zumo at least hasn't...
November 10, 2015 08:50 AM
I know the feeling all too well. It's done though. I'll pick up the volumes and check it out.
November 10, 2015 07:42 AM
I got my copies of both in yesterday, as well as Best Blue. Best Blue's downfall is it took to long to introduce the great competitors and friendships. They needed to be at least alluded to in the...
November 10, 2015 05:29 AM
No, it's just a joke about how they think he should be working.
November 07, 2015 02:51 AM
I'm really hoping Jump+ can spawn some successful and entertaining series. They are all being stopped at the four volume barrier?
November 06, 2015 12:13 PM
Wish Soul Catcher(s) was higher.....
November 06, 2015 12:26 AM
Just ordered Sesuji wo, Best Blue, and Zumo. Kagamigami and Gunjou are going to have to wait for mid month Kodansha and Shogakukan releases....
November 06, 2015 12:23 AM
Woah. I really thought Rock Me Amadues was going to be the next great battle manga....
November 05, 2015 11:39 AM
Surprised that preview page didn't mention any more serials. They used to do it when there was a new batch but Mononofu/Samon kun never did either....
November 05, 2015 01:41 AM
Samon's pretty much dead. Jump is too deep to debut there. I wonder how many series will debut this round?
November 04, 2015 11:25 AM
I'm really glad Jump+ added a sports series, especially my favorite sport.
November 03, 2015 07:29 PM
Two Three is not long for this world....
November 03, 2015 05:41 AM
Phenomenal. It delicately balances, emotion, drama, and ping pong action. Eagerly anticipating the first volumes release and hope this series can build an audience to sustain. Glad this has joined...
November 02, 2015 06:11 PM
Zippo!! will be the future of Jump. I have no doubt about it. Gold or Wonderful Wonder World needs to be serialized ASAP.
October 29, 2015 12:03 PM
I love this call to bring attention to Hinomaru Zumou. Hopefully I get a chance to read Kung Fu Master.
October 27, 2015 03:10 PM
Yyyeeeessss!!!!! Glad they are attempting a ping pong manga. The Day of Switching-On felt so lonely.
October 25, 2015 03:10 PM
October 24, 2015 02:38 AM
Yep, I,love his art style. He really pushed the pace with Hachiand I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed his Bunny oneshot.
October 23, 2015 10:06 PM
OriginL series on Jump+ seem to have a hard time passing the four volume threshold.
