lol thanks. May have to check it out :super
What's that cat from? Why are its talons made of chalk?
Hope not. He can do better.
Retirement. Occasional doodling.
Kurono had already become the hero long before Katastrophe.. and even during it he was able to make some really tough decisions to help out a lot of strangers.
By all means, let him be a hero.....
Sometimes I think he pushes things too far... other times people in real life prove me wrong.
Give it to the Misfits or Skins crew lol. They'd be able to do a wonderful spin off with the right budget.
tbh though there's really no point to a live-action adaptation.. so rarely do they seem...
Nishi is likely dead since the scene was set for him to get butt-fucked by the aliens.
The one thing I didn't like though was that about 5 mins later the Americans managed to win the war.. very,...
I don't know.. they didn't really need to make it about stopping the giants. It would have been fine simply to have the battle between the Americans, Chinese etc. and the giants going on in the...
It's interesting that you bring up a change in genre during the Katastrophe arc.. The truth is it really didn't have to go that way and it's fascinating to me that Oku stumbled into this new...
I'll check this out later. Always interested to see what people think about the series.
There were a lot of good ideas for the alien space ship. The slaughterhouse was great, the poisonous bugs, the zoo/Colosseum/flying cars :) Really loved the idea of the giants hacking into the gantz...
Nice spot lol. It is indeed Kaze, Takeshi and Mary. How the fuck they managed to regroup so quickly when Takeshi was asleep on a park bench I don't know, but how cool is that!
I don't think this...
It's supposedly just a continuation of 'Gantz no moto'. Nothing to get too hyped about.

Any chance Oku will...
The ending was far too Kurono-centric imo but that was a very clear decision made by Oku.
You lose a lot of the charm that came from having this ensemble cast where everybody has a story to tell,...
That's why I said "leaving his options open." You're absolutely right. He could base a series off of almost any of the new characters he introduced during Katastrophe and I'd probably like it. Kaiji...
I feel like he's leaving his options open. Right at the last second he revives most of the remaining cast? And almost for no reason to since it's not like he revisits that plot point in any...
It wasn't *that* rushed. You could go through and fix all the bits Oku skipped with something like "hey americans how'd you win?" "just kidnapped this bro dude hey"
"how'd you get to the tower...
Completely disagree. The humans (apart from the TT) were just as bad as the giants. Hell, once the Americans defeated the giants they kidnapped a bunch of them and forced them to do porn as well as...
Her wounds are gone. Didn't you see her sprint off to meet Kurono?
look how happy we are in deep space!
It is pretty disrespectful. He put a lot of effort into the series and you could even make the argument that he was going for that kind of hollywood movie experience that he seems to enjoy so much. ...
Would assume they're deconstructed and then stored as data. Like a blueprint!
Didn't the tower finally break down during the final chapter?
He destroyed the towers only major defense, that massive cannon.
Well it won't really be Reika..
They didn't all live happily ever after...
lol, was still miles better than the anime ending.
The tokyo team is lucky they were all transferred. Hard to have a happy ending when 9/10 heroes were slaughtered. For me it's a bit of a cop-out to have had them all saved at the last minute....
So is anyone going to follow whatever his next project is?
Kaiji had been cut literally seconds before Kei defeated Gonde... pretty sure if we tested this out on someone they would remain alive for at least a little while.
oh, sorry, thought you meant the other, other guys.
Everyone on the Tokyo team that tried to hold off Gonde was transferred and therefore is still alive.
The Americans that fought Gonde are all...
Nah they're dead.
I was really surprised that everyone that was killed in the last chapter was saved at the last minute.. I thought at least Kaiji was dead for sure. It was a very interesting decision because they...
hahaha wow. this final chapter raises a lot of questions.
So Gonde died immediately... I think if that had been put in the previous chapter it would have flowed much nicer for us. It's a great end...
why do they fly home in a space ship anyway? the gantz ball still works.
And if they don't transfer, does that mean Nerdo is dead?
Something like that. Where Katou/Tae fit into this, who knows? It's a highly retarded concept imo.
They said he'd be reincarnated in New York. Not necessarily as a human :)
I'm imagining that they cornered the officer dude and he ordered his guys to surrender.
Great fighter? She lost her only fight! lol
still a pretty interesting character. mysterious as fuck the way HS somehow brainwashed her after stealing her away from Kurono's brother.
Gonde must be the alien equivalent of Hercules if he can smash up their own concrete like that lol.
My problem with the zaibatsu in that scene is who were they talking to? The guy operating Gantz came tumbling out with all these spiders...
Is the guy in the bottom panel here...
So we have Izumi/Nishi having a discussion about all these beast teams from around the world, and how shitty Japan is in comparison, and then snap back to 5 chapters ago, the top 12 Americans...
What happened to Cherry + Tonkotsu really should have happened to Tae imo. It's fine that she happened to survive everything (more or less) as I was reading through it because it seemed like Kei...
Hmm.. the problem with this arc was that too many plot points were raised only to dropped as soon as possible.
The Gantz man getting up out of his ball right after Italy was a huge tease.
I think her obsession or whatever you want to call it with Kurono added to her character.
Tonkotsu was pretty interesting. Shame they didn't explore that relationship a bit more.
So technically I was right. :^_^ Oku got rid of them asap so they wouldn't get torn to shreds when they stepped in against Gonde.
fuckign rocket to the FACE
take that you aliens!
