I'm not shocked that you still seem to think that everyone has the exact same taste as you.
Oh the irony of loving the work of a former hentai artist while criticizing another artist, who made a suggestive sounding manga previously, whose new work hasn't even begun yet. I love how we...
Volume 23 of Neuro sold 120,450 by week 4.
Lol no, it's still serialized. It gets a nice long chapter in every issue.
Revised, I knew something was wrong, but I couldn't figure it out.
I took Nisekoi out of #12, since it has cover.
1- Nisekoi (Cover, Lead Color)
3- Boku no Hero Academia...
My issue 21 prediction. Numbered it including the color pages to compare to the Japanese spoiler.
What do you guys have?
1- Nisekoi (Cover, Lead Color)
3- Boku no Hero...
She did Inu Boku and she was only 31.
Not really my intent to compare across genres in that respect, mostly comparing their length. By no means was Psyren a hit in terms of sales for a shonen battle manga. It's still a "success" in its...
Idk man, 16 volumes is still pretty impressive for a Jump manga. Even if it didn't get the greatest sales numbers. By that logic, Saiki can't be considered a success right now, at 12 volumes while...
Is that the sarcasm font? Some thought that about Illegal Rare and Gakkyuu Houtei though.
Does anyone know if the author of the oneshot, Out Gear Fullcolor in the latest issue of Jump NEXT was an assistant to Hiro Mashima? The art is very similar to Fairy Tail. The author of the oneshot...
Funimation licensed it, but called it "Ultimate Otaku Teacher" to confuse people. http://www.funimation.com/shows/ultimate-otaku-teacher/videos/episodes
Viz had nothing, but Kodansha did
Cat's Diary by Junji Ito
Special edition of Attack on Titan 16
Yen Press almost never does bimonthly releases so that means that if they they did a release every 3 months, it would take 10 years to release 39 volumes. If they did a release every 4 months, it...
My optimistic issue 20 prediction.
1 Gintama (Cover and Lead Color)
2 One Piece
3 Ansatsu Kyoushitsu
4 Boku no Hero Academia
5 Shokugeki no Soma (Center Color)
7 World Trigger
This could be a game every week, where we try to guess the entire toc for the following week. I'll mull it over and do that.
So for issue 19, Black Clover was at 11 and Kagamigami was at 7 (counting color pages because this is how the guy in 2ch does it).
Any predictions for what we will be at next week for both of...
If it's any consolation to you guys, the time/date stamp on 2ch is JST, and it was posted on March 31st. Posted on a day that was consistent for the guy that has been doing it for a while.
HeroAca (Cover/ Lead Color)
5 - World Trigger
6 - Gintama
7 - Kagamigami
11 - Black Clover
It was serialized immediately.
From Sasaki Hisashi.
More from the upcoming Naruto spinoff that will be in Jump.
No idea, but that's what they called it. I vaguely recall there being a question about ESJ and royalties and one of the editors started talking about it being per page, but the EIC, Andy Nakatani...
Yeah, I saw in your second post, I need to find the podcast where Viz was talking about ESJ royalties. That will take a while.
I'd have to go and find it, somehow, but Viz did say that the authors get royalties from ESJ several times. It might be on a per page basis, since something like that was implied.
You need to look into the US manga market (Viz and Kodansha USA specifically) more because this is not the case.
search royalties in here,...
For starters, no one will ever know the exact specifics for their contracts unless they actually work with Shueisha or which ever company. Asking to know that is practically asking to read their...
It's a punch in the face if there's series you actually wanted to read and it doesn't get picked up. A lot of people don't care, but there were some disgruntled ESJ readers when Judos wasn't picked...
If you read each issue of ESJ carefully, they never outright said readers had a choice of what they wanted added to the magazine, they merely said to say what you think about them in the survey. This...
Viz claimed they're looking it over still, but none of them are in the issue coming out on Monday. Hard to say what they will do.
Chances are that they're hesitant because they want to get the...
You're only talking about pacing in this?
There's pretty big disconnect between "having something to think about" and pacing.
Like I was saying in my post, nothing happens in Bleach, but...
How do you miss what was typed out in the second sentence?
You can read through any series without thinking, but you'll just miss out on a lot.
SS licensed the Accelerator manga
It's a difficult spot to be in. Viz isn't exactly a company to take bigger risks like Yen Press.
---------- Post added at 11:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:52 AM ----------
Someone said that in their podcast, they were saying that ESJ is close to/at the max amount of series they can have with their current budget and that their budget for ESJ manga will grow if they get...
Myuu preview, nsfw
When taken out of context, it looks pretty bad, lol.
iShoujo+ Volume 1
You can vote more than once, but based on that, it's not like only 10 people are reading the series. You can tell that there's a following somewhere.
These are the results from the Soul Catcher(S) popularity poll.
Kamine Shouta (37,234 Votes)...
v6 week 4 294,244
v7 week 3 279,364
v8 week 5 305,213
v9 week 4 310,158, this reached 294,266 in week 3
v10 week 4 291,652
300k in 3 weeks after the anime, for sure.
This was Thou Shalt Not Die's color pages
For years, there has been a very large disconnect between fans of manga and official distributors of them. Viz gets asked about Fairy Tail a lot, for example.
