let's see if the calibration did his job XD
I will be coloring a lot of drawings in this chapter..... yeah.... maybe finally there will be the entire chapter colored.....
Yet I'm not satisfied yet with this style of coloring..... it's so much saturated..... I must find a way to blur even more.... smudge tool didn't do the trick well, since I'm working on masks.... but burn&dodge tools worked greatly....
Smudge tool is great to use when coloring following Amaretti's tutorial, or any tutorial that put shadows in the same layer of the 'base color' ..... but I found that with masks is pretty difficult to use..... maybe I have only to do some more colorings to learn how tu use smudge in layer masks.....
All I can see right here is a bloody fine piece of art, zky-kun, but if not feeling satisfied with it makes you improve even more, I won't stop you
Good luck if you choose to color the complete chapter
Awesome work zky2007, we want more ES21 colorings here like that for sure.
Only thing I can see is you could use more work on the metallic aspects of the helmet (make the facemask bars shiny, etc.) Aside from that, though, awesome as I said
I'm also not especially crazy about the color you're giving the word balloons, but that's a personal preference thing.

Metallic aspects? Mumble.... ok, I will try....
About the balloons .... I keep this color only because it was one of the first colors I tried :P I will try some other colors that won't darken the whole image (i.e.: black 'darkens' the other colors sometimes....)
daaaark...... maybe I will put a little light

I see.. I'm not such a big fan of masks XD I always only make up backup layers & then just color over 'em over & over 'till I get the desired result. I only use masking when I want to hide things. But well, whatever works for you =P As long as you keep improving
Layer Masks are useful since it's simple to corret some shadow/lightning error... I did use the technique you're using, but if you make an error then the error is difficult to 'erase' ..... but the blending style that comes with that technique is better than this with masks ....
Layer mask problem is, on the other hand, that you should have the base colors in the same layer (one layer named 'base_colors' or something similar) and then duplicate and apply mask.... or at least is what I found out when trying this technique .....
By the way..... here's page 3.... (page 5 of the chap)
maybe I've made an error coloring Kisaragi's background with red.... blue is his color... but the overall result seems right.... maybe too much shadows in Sena's face....
I tried to put a new blending on metal surfaces, but nothing yet.....
Somehow, I didn't want you to continue coloring that last chapter, anyways... <_<;;;
Anyway, interesting shading, sky! I specially like how Sena's arm looks. ^__~ To me, Yoichi looks kinda freaky smiling with that damn towel over his face, tho >< He looks like a corpse! *shiver*
About Hiruma.... is good that I didn't continue with the idea that under artificial light skin goes paler.... and if we think that he has a broken arm... well, he shouldn't be so tanned.... his skin should be pale, but then he would seem a corpse... and nothing else so I made the skin tanned after all (and still it seems pale.... :P)
A pic without any Hakushuu characters in it? What's wrong, zky, are you having a fever or something...?
(it's great, though )
I was sure you'd end up coloring this one (heck, I scanned it pretty much only for that reason xD). It looks helluva good, zky, maybe a bit dark, but darkness here is fitting If you don't mind, I probably will steal it to make a sig with it, too
Keep up the good work, and don't forget to rest if you have a flu
