Here's a rec
That is a fun fic featuring Tenten and Neji. I haven't read it in a while but i enjoyed it a lot. XD I don't think it has any "Adult content"...but i take no responcibilty if it does...like i said, it's been a while.
Here are four naruto Fanfics I highly recomend, three epic length ones, and one which is just starting but is well on its way to proving itself. All naruto/hinata and all clearly the result of a lot of work and a lot of love for the content.
For the Love of my Friends
For Naruto, time was always of the essence, especially when he knew everything that would come to pass and only had a certain amount of time to change it all.
Naruto finds himself living in a world where hope is a distant memory of a fond past. When it becomes clear that the future holds nothing for him or his precious people, he sets out to change it, going back to where it all began.
Naruto and Hinata are sent away on a long term training mission, leaving their lives behind for three years. Complete.
This has to be the most well written fanfiction i have ever read. fully worth reading. Regrettably the sequel was started but will never be finished, the author has moved on. Truly a great loss for the fanfic community.
Naruto: Different Beginnings
[AU] What if Obito never died, and Rin never 'went away? Instead, what if the two of them raised Yondaime's son away from the pressure and hatred of Konoha's villagers? How would have life turned out?
another excellent fic, typically i tend to almost immediately cease reading any fanfic that has the "super-naruto" problem (you know, naruto somehow becomes the best genin around or even the best ninja around almost overnight) but the quality of writing for this one is so compelling that it would be a travesty to not give it its due. An excellent work
What if Naruto had been selected for a different team? What if he'd had a different mentor? Who would guess the consequences would be so large?
A promising fanfic by an excellent author.
Thank you everyone for posting all of these. Some of the fics sounds really good and in fact I think that I have seen them at FF.net, but had not taken a look at them yet.
I would like to post the links and my comments of a couple of fanfics, too. ^^
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2298571/1/ (The Legends of the Fox)
The best fanfic I ever read so far, still ongoing, really long but it's worth it, trust me. Read it even if you don't like the first one or two chapters, since it moves forward and backward of a really complex and interesting AU storyline, showing little by little all the pieces of a bigger puzzle.
The main character is Naruto, and the family he formed with Hinata. Anyway, almost any characters is in it. Furthermore, this is the fic that could make you change your idea about OT characters if you don't like them, since the author worked really well with their characterizations (it really works, since he keep in mind their parents too, therefore the children of the characters we now act in a really believable way).
I love the writing style and technique of this fanfic, other than the story itself. And I love the OC characters as much as the canon ones... expecially Jinshei, Gaara's son, and Yume (a girl), who is one of Naruto's and Hinata's many children.
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1921764/1/ (Never Ever)
Read this if you're a fan of the relationship between Naruto and Gaara, and in general between the Leaf and the Sand. It's an AU but a really good fanfic, with a darker Naruto but still believable, and it takes place around the Chuunin Exam time.
It's nice to see Naruto and Gaara fic which aren't yaoi... ^^
Funny how I was going to recommend these 3 same stories(except the third one, I haven't seen it yet).Originally Posted by LittleWolf
For the Love of my Friends is too angsty for me, but it's still a great thing to read.
The Two Halves series are simply awesome!
And my favorite in FF.net ever(and believe me, I do read a lot, specially naruhina) is Team 8, I have no words to describe it. The author, S'TarKan, also has other non-Naruto related stories which are great.
Another author, dave-d, has an unique way of telling his stories, almost all about oriental legends. It's quite different from anything else in FF.net.
Ok, instead of flooding the place with too many links(I'm lazy), I'll just put my FF profile so from there you can see some of the best stories I've read: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/881777/
Here you are another fanfic that could be added in Tamerlane's new thread, http://mangahelpers.com/forum/index.php?topic=5461.0...
Little Green Leaf (by Ninja Shen) -complete-
Do you like KankuTen? Read it.
You don't like this pairing? Read it anyway for its fast-paced and well-written battle scenes.
A romance fic with lots of action, and about two side characters, Tenten and Kankurou, whom many of us would like to see more in the manga. I would see more of Kankurou, at least. ^^
Cool, thanks Saria
*goes to add it to the main fic thread*
if anyones interested, i have my fic: http://www.narutofic.org/viewstory.p...1658b6a46cf447
it was made for the new narutofic contest, but im focusing alot on the story so tell me if you like it! ^^[br]Posted on: July 15, 2006, 12:40:17 AM_________________________________________________this is very good, i like it! will read moreOriginally Posted by Sariachan
Is this thread dead? It would be a shame...
Anyway, I would like to recomend two more fanfics... these are both GaaSaku fics, the best ones I've found actually.
A Change in the Wind by SkItZoFrEaK (complete) - This AU fanfic takes place in Sunagakure, and the main characters are Gaara and Sakura; anyway, even Temari and Kankurou have a part in it and later Naruto, Lee and other Leaf ninja come into the pic.
It's a great fanfic if you are a fan of GaaSaku and the relationship between Naruto and Gaara, Naruto and Sakura, Sakura and Lee. It isn't a romance fic though, since it has a bit of everything, from action to drama. Every character is IC in this fic, the author did a great work under this point of view.
In Stone by randomsomeone (on going) - First of all, keep in mind that the writing skills of this author are incredible. This story is another GaaSaku, and its genre is drama/romance; the fic takes place just after Gaara's kidnapping by Akatsuki, but then it becomes an AU... a really good AU in which some parts are even better than in the actual manga, I would dare to say. A must read for anyone imho, unless you hate fics from Gaara's POV (and a bit too talkative Gaara).
This isn't complete yet, but it could easily become the best GaaSaku fic out there.
Okay so picked out a few of my "not so naughty" fic faves to share. Please enjoy them if you will, and don't forget to leave feedback for the authors.
Dragon Ball Z? by Link and Luigi
So so so so so funny. I laughed until I was in tears. DBZ fans will love this emphatically, especially those who watched the FUNimation version.
Dear Foolish Little Brother by solderini
Hilarious banter between Itachi and Sasuke in letter form. I just love those boys.
From the Floppy Called Subversive by serialhugger
Serialhuggars summary describes this story perfectly: A spoof of MarySue situations. That means it pokes fun at MarySue's and quirks of the fandom, including incorrect spelling [of names etc.], oocness, etc. Dont like idiocy, then dont read it. Pure crack! Written by Smurf. Now includes a bonus feature!
This is one of the funniest Naruto parodies I have ever read. Omg so witty and fun! XD The Serialhugger Collective are insanely creative. Especially the one called Smurf. Evil genius at work. This story is near and dear to me. (I <3 Smurf-chan!)
That's Why, That's Why by UE
An amazingly well told story of the night Itachi gained the height of Sharingans power. I love the characterization of Shisui. Its gotta be the best of the few Ive seen with him in the story. Uchiha Shisui needs more love IMHO.
The First Time I Saw Him by Azamiko
This is so thoughtful and sweet. I love these little stories about random characters and their first impressions and revelations about Uzumaki Naruto. For real, this is so sweet it will choke you up. I almost cried reading the one with the old man at Ichiraku. I want to cry just thinking about it! Adorable.
Thank you, Kusachu, for reccing The First Time I Saw Him. I adored it. It's simple - but the simplicity really drives it home. I love peripheral observations. It's so interesting. I especially loved the plant one. The author did a wonderul job. I wish there were more, though. I'd love to see Konohamaru's or Shukaku's first impression or even Orochimaru's. Or, since the writer focuses on side characters a bit, perhaps someone like Hana or Hinata's father, etc.
Man, I really need to post some recs up sometime. ^^;

I'd like to see her do ones for Sasuke and Sakura...and Kakashi too. Maybe Iruka (since Iruka didn't really like him at first and all).Originally Posted by Tanuki-dono
