From the begging of the One Piece story to even now the Impel Down Arc i have had many different views about the WG and what it represents.
At first i thought that it was just some kind of police force and how that it was a one minded organization. But as the we learned more about the WG it is clearly shown of many different kinds of people, beliefs, thoughts, values and ways of conduct. EX Kizaru to Aokiji both are of the same rank but conduct and believe differently. As you go up in rank to the point of the Gorousei (that is basically the brains right there) it seems that the justice is not there.. EX Ohara incident. So my big question is ... Is the WG some kind of monster that will be killed or just infected that needs to be cured? If so how will Oda come about and do it?
The WG employ a lot of people such as the Marine Army and many WG representatives ( EX CP force ) that is a lot of people in One Piece that will be affected if the WG falls. There must be some kind of force that will keep the Pirate community in line. I cant see the WG staying as it is at the end of One Piece so things must change within or the whole WG. Even now we are at a point where the mighty WG existence is challenged with this war. Will the WG come out on top unaffected?
There are a lot of questions that revolve around the WG that good are for debate so i just started with those. This thread is mainly a discussion about anything about the WG nothing specific so it don't have to be about just it's fate. Thanks

I am not American but that's how I think about the WG:
The Gourousai is like the gov. of U.S.
The GL, NW, Redline, EB, SB, WB and NB are like juridiction.
The Marines are like the F.B.I.
The Islands are like the different States and they all have their own Police witch is under the Marines and also their own gov. witch is under the WG.
I would imagine that the old generation of WG will die with the death of the Gorousei after they awaken Pluton and pirates and some marines band together to bring it down.
Order and justice will be restored with the new generation of WG with Coby and Smoker possibly rising in rank to be Admirals or higher promoting their ideals of Justice AND FREEDOM.
Sengoku, Aokiji and Kizaru (all of whom I see to have some redeeming qualities) I dunno what will happen to them.
Akainu would be killed/defeated by the strawhats.
Luffy and Boa would disappear from the world after a major battle ... and the ending would be something like "some say that they died in the battle that saved the world but others say that they finally found peace" - and a scene cuts to them living on some distant land starting a new adventure.
World Government: controlled by the gorosei who care more about their power rather than justice. The marines/CP do whatever the gorosei tell them to do so they're not much better. Few exceptions of good people in the WG/Marines: Garp, Aokiji etc.
Its been heavily foreshadowed that this war will spike the new Era
Does that mean the downfall of the WG?
Did they bite more than they can chew on?
I'd like to see them get Annihilated

I don't think WB will be annihilated. I think there will be a confrontation, then luffy with ace, a bunch of okamas and jimbei will join in and when the WB notice ace they will retreat. Afterwards both WB and WG will experience heavy loses altering th balance of power and BB will make a move. Basically everything goes to hell lol
I assume the beheading is a reference to the real life Blackbeard.
Don't know why this is it's own thread, isn't there a WB v Shichibukai thread this should be a part of?
Anyway, on topic, here's my "essay": http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=49
I already predicted Blackbeard will defeat Whitebeard in the upcoming war.
Then, Dragon could be the one pursuing the war.
