im back playing Morrowind again, if i could it would be 24/7 but i have to sleep and work and stuff. but i just love the elder scrolls series.
I would play Oblivion if i could but my PC sucks so i cant. i do have a character at a friends comp with 80-ish played hours and the main story completed.
i love good RPGs
I thought to start playing Morrowind, but I didn't when I knew the way to get exp points: run, jump, swimm. I was shocked and their races are strange. Even my pc sucks so I plan to play NWN2 on my brother's pc hoping is graphic card is enough.Originally Posted by BoffenJL
thats why i love it. its a SKILLbased rpg. instead of getting a bunch of xp from killing something. you get better by doing stuff repeatedly. i mean think about it. how do you get good at doing stuff? by training that thing. example: i used to box. if i needed to get better at boxing, then i boxed a lot. just repeat punches against a sandbag to get the feel of how i should do it. repeated training is the key.Originally Posted by Luckas04
and Morrowind uses this in a really good way in my opinion. most rpg games give you a bunch of xp when you kill something. and as always, the bigger the thing the more xp you get.
but they dont care how you kill it. if i were to be sneaky and hide in a bush and shoot with my bow and then jump up a tree and continue the shooting from there. i should get better at my bow skill and maybe in my jumping skill too if i decide to jump to another location. and if i decide to run around i should get better at running.
if i choose to just walk up to the big thing and start hacking with my sword i should get better at my sword skill. its all about how you do things. the more you use your skills the better you become. just like real life
Imperial (a human race)
breton (another human race)
redguard (another human race)
khajiit (the cat race)
argonian (the lizard people)
nord (the viking/barbarian human race)
seems like pretty standard fantasy to me. which ones do you find strange?
The human ones mostly, I think they aren't well explained.Originally Posted by BoffenJL

btw: love your sig!
im into MMORPG, but i still play some RPGs and I like Prince of Persia the two thrones(just finished it the other day)
right now i am playing Neverwinter Nights 2 and it rocks ^^
Yea, Final Fantasy...its cool...but i dont get what its really about. There r so many games but they have different storylines. i was wondering if someone could help me get up to date Final Fantasy?
Also i heard of Final Fantasy versus 13, a cool game(ive only seen trailers) most likely for the PS3
Im currently playing Gears of War on Xbox 360 graphics are just amazing and online is just fun great reviews/ratings for it. My friend is getting his PS3 sometime today hopefully because he preordered and I can't wait to try it out but I won't be getting one until prices drop and better games come out.
the series of Final Fantasy RPG games is a series of different games (different storylines) you don't have to play one of the final fantasy series to get another, they are not sequels, the only time when a Final Fantasy took another way was with Final Fantasy X-II that was a sequel of Final Fantasy X and with Final Fantasy XI that was a MMORPG. you cannot be up to date by any means, unless if you try to play all of them.....but that's something that will take you more than a lifetime (if you are from the guys that want to reach 100% in RPGs like me and my friends that have turn the FF's inside out )Originally Posted by 九尾写輪眼
the Final Fantasy that i recomend are Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII
I have played from FF I to FFVIII and i have seen other's playing IX and X (by that i mean that my friend was playing and i was just watching)
if you need any details or help about Final Fantasy VI and VII don't be afraid to ask me about the others i was not THAT good ^^;
@ILUVATAR Why didn't you play the next Final Fantasy games?
I think he has his reasons <_< >_>
But why didn't you play the next games??
Right now, I'm concentrating on Final Fantasy XII, but I have a few more I'm playing on and off.
Luckas04 and zypher about your question. i had school difficulties by that time and i only had free time watching and not playing. if i was going to play i would have given my self in the game and i wouldn't be able to surpass those problems ^^; so my only option was to sit and watch my friend playing. >_< he was a loosey player and it was a real torment to see him playing like that but now that i have more free time i will start playing from IX to XIII ^.^
