So....... PS4 is definitely not aiming for significant hardware improvements? DOn't get me wrong, I already suggested that there was hardly any need for more powerful hardware just yet however the idea that they don't aim for hardware improvement is kinda weird to me. What exactly do they mean by "social gaming"? Isn't that online multiplayer? While that is cool and all I have never been much of a fan of it anyways. I prefer to play with people in the room for the part part if I have to multiplay. As for changes in how the player interacts with the machine, I take it they mean better motion gaming for the most part. I guess they could go for something like a tablet controller however it is still to early to tell if people even like that (I haven't had a chance to try it myself). I guess they could have finally gotten to actual brainstorming and figured out something cool as far as gameplay is concerned. Perhaps an even better version of the move achieved by a far deeper integration with the system? I guess they could keep the original move and add components to the new PS4 which make it work even better than in the PS3.... Not sure how that would work.
Here are more rumors about the PS4 and its specs and controller
Maybe I don't understand a crap, but it sounds like Playstation 3.5
Well this is going to be interesting. We get the PS4 unveiled on the 20th and the new Xbox sometime in the spring?
E3 should be amazing.
Here is the rumored GPU of the XBox 720 aka Durango.
All you tech people will probably have an idea what it means...
I just hope they don't actually call it the Durango.
That's just the code name just like Sony's is Orbis. ^^
Well, I hope it is anyway
IIRC, Sony called it Orbis to match the Vita so it would translate it to "The Eye of Life" or something like that.
The best code name in my opinion would have to be the Nintendo Revolution. Badass
The rumored next-gen XBox supposedly requires always-on internet and blocks used games. New games will have activation codes, which could only be used by initial users.
I hope that isn't true since a lot of gamers wouldn't be happy with that.
In other news, Ouya, the indie game system, will be out in June.
