^ Well, I agree that they don't have to be pro-Aizen. In fact, that may actually better, since that'd create more room for the Vaizards/New Traitors to act on an entirely different set of motives. A three-way battle would be a lot more intriguing, especially with Captain-class foes on all 3 sides.
So I like your idea better.
Yep, there is a decent chance that Vizard won't take either side at the beginning of the battle, Aizen made them hated by SS and almost got them killed, SS on the other hand didn't even try to see if they were in control of their hollows and just ordered them to be executed, who knows....
I think that SS still owes the Vizards and Urahara one big apology.
uggghh, this drives me insane.
yea, the vaizards probably dislike SS as well, maybe even just as much as they hate Aizen and co.
but WHY THE F would they not take SS's side? they can't just be neutral. they may not be friends with SS, but they are good people. if SS fails and Aizen succeeds, then everything in the living world and SS will be under Aizen's control, and Aizen is evil. God knows what it would be like. it would be like the end of the world(s). they would have a new, evil, tyrant ruler. and that's IF Aizen's plan is to take control. he may have other goals. he may want to destroy everything, who knows? the point is, the vaizards wouldn't want that. so grudge against SS or not, they are almost guaranteed to take the same side, the side of good. the side that is against Aizen. or so intelligent logic would dictate.
unless the vaizards are retards, they'll set their animosity towards SS aside for now.
I do agree that if htey are forced to take a side, they will side with SS.
We have the 6 captains, a bunch of VCs and several seated officers in "Karakura". We have the other 4 captains, 2 VCs, Hanatarou, and Kurosaki Company in HM. Then we have all the remaining VCs, and hundreds of other shinigami in SS, along with the Vaizards, Isshin, Ryuuken, Yoruichi, and Urahara Company.
On Aizen's side, we have him, Gin and Tousen, 5 Espada, Wonderwyce, and several Fracciones. We have 8 captain class fighters to 20+, with those below captain class equally ouumbered. Where the hell is the suspense in that?
Of course it make the most sense for the Vaizards to fight with SS. Hell, if I were Liza, I'd help just to make sure my porn sources were safe. But what are they going to do? Fight Yammi and the Numeros? Fend off Menos in SS? This is what I can't stand about the current set-up. All I care about are the matches with (ex)Captains and Espada, and SS has a horribly overwhelming advantage. The "War" doesn't necessitate most of the cast right now, and Kubo isn't even suggesting that it will in the future, which is a huge mistake IMO.
We just need something that will make us scared about the prospects of SS, and Ichigo and Co. The "War" will be a train wreck without that. The Vaizards not being willing to help SS is just one of many options to do that.
will it be more scary and exciting when Aizen stops letting a little fire get in his way and actually draws his sword again? i think so.
i think once Aizen joins the fray, the numeric advantage that the good guys have won't mean as much. i don't feel any pity for Aizen's side. outnumbered by a lot, yes, but their handful of powerhouses are ridiculous.
I think that Vaizard are going to join SS just to beat Aizen but then they will focus against SS or against the King....
i believe the war was just something ss just came up with. because from what we seen the espanda are nothing for the captains to beat and the fraccion are nothing for the vc's to beat. i believe that azien has no love for the espanda's, fraccion's, and arrancar hollow's period just like soul reapers. there all steping stones for him to achieve what he wants the kings key. And the more soul reapers, hollows, and viazards died the better for him.
I think the war is only a facade which is meant to hyde his true intentions. Just showing so many fights is going to take at least another year (6 captains, 3 espada and fraccion, aizen, gin, tousen, most VC, plus eventually vizards, captains in soul society, ichigo ulquiorra). If each fight shown has 2 chapters dedicated to it, then we can expect this arc to end sometime at the end of the next year.
Yeah, this will be one longass fight arc if it goes that way.
The Vaizard have clearly stated that they hate Shinigami on more than one occasion. They won't be joining Soul Society, other wise they would have made contact before hand with them.
Not to mention they wouldn't bother trying to get Ichigo to THEIR SIDE, if their side was the same side as the Soul Society side.
In other words... Vaizard are either with Aizen, or on their own, which is the case IMO.
yes, on their own side, but in the case of a big, final, deciding battle, they will of course fight alongside SS against Aizen.
it doesn't matter that they hate SS too. they aren't evil, and they aren't retards. hate SS or not, when SS is fighting to save ALL the worlds, they'll help them.
you don't let the world be taken over/destroyed just because of a trivial grudge you hold against people. they'll put that aside, at least for long enough to neutralize the threat to all existance that is Aizen.
I think this entire fight is completely dependent on what happens now. As we can see Aizen(as usual) planned for the intervention set by Soul Society. Now all we can do is wait and wonder to see what exactly is going on in Aizen's head. Until we know what he's waiting for I don't think there's much to predict about the winter battle. This may already have been said but Aizen is just too calm and collected right now, had he considered any of this to be a miscalculation or threat he would saw to it himself. I think we all know he expects the Espada to fall...so lets just see what happens when they do.
