The melody is nice. Kinda catchy.
Too much talking is going on, the episode kinda lost the dramatic effect for me.
Love the 14th's shadow's voice. <3
Soon...soon Lenalee's innocence will be back. Im so happy.
Lots of fillers coming our way since the anime is catching up with the manga.
According to the episode guide, there will not be any filler after this one. ^^
well based on the opening I wouldn't be suprised if the fillers would start after
anyway looks pretty good. I love the white color of the room and am certainly looking forward to the 14th/musician's voice
i like this ep too
wonder if anyone will make sheet music for that song
Since the 14th didn't have a seiyuu in the credit list, does anyone think that maybe, just maybe, one of the seiyuus in the exsisting casts voiced him? *hint hint* But then again, given the time it takes to produce the anime, the producers might not have enough time to react to the newest manga chapter.
Still....it kinda sounds like her.
I love this episode! The meoldy that Allen had played was so beautiful! and it's kinda strange...the Earl also plays the same tune when he is about to finish the whole download thing of the ark....I kinda expected a different tune to it. There was also one scene where the Earl cried while playing the piano and strangely though, I feel a little sad for him
Woah, the screenshots look awesome. Allen is so cute. I hope the episode is not less promising.
Zero RAWs also posted their RAW of this episode [here].
enjoy it, they really do a great work
OMG. This manga should have never been made into an anime!!! Typical stupid shonen anime!!! Ok ok, sorry. It's my fault for expecting too much.
They missed a lot of important moments, made it all look cheap and killed the dramatic effect. Yeah. Pretty bad. Though I liked the melody and the moment when we first see Earl playing the piano was gorgeous. The moment when Allen's hands are shown when he plays was brilliantly animated as well.
But that's all.
By the way, you know what was the most annoying- that stupid-shonen-heroine speech Lenalee made to encourage Allen to play the piano.... It was totally irritating from the very first word till the last and Allen's expression has wonderfully expressed the shock of hearing such nonsense. Oh, so happy there was nothing like this in manga.
But damn my heart aches 'cause I know -especially now, after 166Night- how important the details are in DGM, these scenes with 14th for sure and it pains to see how cheap it's made in the anime, how they are totally weakening the feeling of importance of certain scenes. They should have made a better accent on Allen's hatred to the Earl and then his shock when he saw the 14th in the piano's room- not on the speeches about people's hopes and feelings we've heard thousands of times already.
Oh, by the way, I LOVE THE MILLENNIUM EARL!!!
i've just watched the anime!!!
although the mood is sumwhat diff from what i feel when reading the manga
still the piano piece is good!! i like it... but it's weird though coz the melody that the earl played is the same as allen's
i thought that the music is allen's then how would the earl know the melody
anyway the earl cried >_> i wonder if the earl really cared for the 14th. eventhough the 14th betrayed him they're still a family after all.
what would have caused the 14th to betray the earl in the first place anyway??
maybe the 14th loves humans and tried to protect them while the earl and the other noah hate humans and tried to destroy them??
I actually felt more of a sense of urgency in this episode rather than in the manga. Allen just seemed to be wasting time in the white room while the ark kept crumbling.
umm....did anybody else notice that the Earl is holding his sword and Lero is still being himself? Isn't Lero supposed to be the sword? this also happened in the manga too if I remember correctly...
Lero is not the sword; I am assuming that he is the sheath though.
Aw, no, no, no, no....
I saw the screenshots and thought "Hey, this is going to be a great episode" but it wasn't. I agree with you, the part where Allen plays the melody and the melody itself are the best parts but the rest....
I really don't like this up and down with the quality of the episodes.... >_>
endless: I did notice that too. I thought it was just me as I noticed it last episode, but it confused me to know that I was correct.
Overall, that's the only scene which I have a problem with. The animation quality looked like it was getting better through the episode. The parts in the beginning and the end were well animated, and the animation went to average at the transition points. I actually thought it had all of the details. I didn't notice a lot of them until I watched this episode. I particularly liked the accent on flashback because it seems to accentuate the confusion of Allen. I liked the omake, hilarious.
I'm not really surprised with the previous bad aninmation quality. I think they were putting most of their effort into the musician scene and resultingly lacked animation continuity.
