It truly exceeds my logic that they cancel series that SELL WELL. Honestly, I am starting to think that Jump is not a business in order to make money, but a business that wants to take all potential mangaka's and discourage them so that we are forever stuck with crap like Bleach and Naruto.
Oh, so THAT'S why I feel like my comments for SJ mean nothing...
Still seems a bit early for Bakuman/Inumaru Dash! since they're... three, four chapters long? I wonder what the fan reception for those is/will be.
Thats why I say mangaka should stay away from WSJ.
hmmm..... well at least Naoshi is doing something in SQ come november, so they're not treated too badly.
especially togashi, with the togashi-isms around the jump offices
But if newbie mangaka are successful, they make more money. It's not THAT impossible; sure, most new series fail, but look at Toriko. Besides that, To Love-Ru and even Nurarihyon no Mago aren't doing THAT bad (okay, Mago could still fall, but...). Of course they want that promise of becoming the next OP, no matter how badly they could end up.
Toriko's by an infamous established author though, so Mago is the only one that really counts as a newbie being successful.
What the anthology really needs is to hold another golden one shot thing, like it did last year.......
or is that going on now with the spate of one shots coming in?
indeed, but the jail sentence seemed to get him even more noticed really...
ugh i'm english and i can't even use right gramar ¬_¬.... but then i havent lsept in a while
First image of Chagecha (and Asklepios)
I like the style of the lead...I may translate it after all.
and asklepios is looking the same! all in all i'm quite pleased.
And if you do Stranger then i will be happy indeed, as i continue to encourage all current series to be translated
Hmmm....i will hold my opinion on Sawaii's new work. Any word on the plot? Asklepios looks interesting as ever.
Any word on what Naoshi is doing in SQ? Probably just a oneshot.
