yes I don't know how come, it seems to have a huge fanbase...
I am a little dissapointed in the rating of Mx0 - so low, it's the rating of the last arc, which was imo a really good arc (maybe it had to do with the fact there was less comedy in it). Usagi is really doing fine it seems, well I hope soon or later someone picks this up because raws are interesting but can't understand them
koji inada is the one whos seriously ill, and he is also the artist. so basically beet will be dead for a long time, but apparently he should have been on the steady road to recovery back when hiatus began in september/october
and im glad p2 hasa fanbase now. i think it all started to change around the whole 'crying over loss' chapter, which really did mark a change in it to a well paced manga
usagi could well be brilliant, i havent gotten too into it, but as with most people, lack of scans affect that. i only hope tsukai does as well
- first of all the art, it's a bit different on its own
- the fact it's not so complex at the moment. Some manga are so complex that you have to analyze the picture sometimes before you cans see what happened
- also the fact: the feeling I have got is that the gang, is not a gang from teh beginning but more like a friendship that is in evolution. Okay they appreciate each other but events that are happening with them seems to make them know each other BIT by BIT (in contrast to lots of shounen where in an instant lots of characters become each other friends without even knowing a certain past or event)
this is based on what I see, not on what I can read
for some reason the premise of the story reminds me of the start of ruroken and of the background premise to ranma (the whole dojo things really)
Samurai Usagi seems really laid back and quirky, from what I've been told about it.
I'd like to read it. It even feels like something that could work very well in day to day story format. Think similar to Yaiba, by Gosho Aoyama.
Of all the new series it definitely looks the most charming, despite an ugly-ass main character. :P
Volleyball Tsukai Godago looks fun too, though.

Oh Tsukai is amazing to me. i laugh at the visual gags, and the obvious english/hiragana joke in chapter..... 9 i believe. with CJ!
A quirk is an odd or unique characteristic/habit a person may have.
This is the description of Usagi i gave to Barabapapa XD hopefully this will get people interested. I'm thinking about translating it if i can get the courage to jump on that sixty page first chapter and its WORDYNESS! But if enough people give me support and cheer me on (I could use support more really.) maybe i'll put Gintama translations aside for a moment and do it.
Gah XD i suck at explaining stuff, but i'll try (Though don't blame me if it really sounds lame through my explanation...cause i suck.)
The main character Udagawa Gosuke has recieved his father's dojo, mainly because his father and older brother were made to commit hara-kiri. (I forget why though...) He really wasn't supposed to get it simply because he's a second son. 'cause of the way his pops and brother died he's got not a whole lot of self confidence so he practices fencing day by day at a nearby dojo. However because the people at that dojo are asses, he soon tries to invent a dojo and a style for people who just enjoy it.
However what really sets this aside from most Shounen is that the main character male and female are actually married (At age 15 no less!) The girl Utagawa Shino is the younger sister of his senpai, and is a bit...weird to say the least. She makes rabbit masks to help bring in a bit of money, although to say that she's obsessed with rabbits would be an understatement. ^^;;; she claims its because "The rabbits will someday reach the moon." When Gosuke invents his new dojo, he decides to make a style of swordsmanship known as "Rabbit style fencing." Currently in the manga he's recruiting men....
i hope this does justice to it...
thanks a lot Bomber D Rufi -> damned who would have thought the kid was married. I hope usagi will get more popularity, and later on it can be scanlated. Glad to hear your quite interested - but a first 60 pages chap is indeed really hard work
Married couples sounds like a dangerous concept. Wasn't Yoh from Shaman King engaged? Well I guess it did have a good run but times are changing and his ideas just arent appreciated. Lets wait to see if the Japanese jump on this bagwagon, they might not exactly like the old school feel of it.
the fact that its a mid to high placing series from the get go, its pretty safe to say they love it right now
