vs i still think a younger 3rd will still lose to upto date oro. why you ask. simple, the 3rd is not the only person who knows over 1000 moves. i honestly believe so does oro. but the difference between them would be the 3rd unlike oro would be held back by moral. and on that bases i think oro would win because we all know he would use dirty tactics.
They are ninjas. In a 1v1, there are no morales. All is fair in love and war. Sandaime would certainly go all-out if he had to face oro after his escape from the village, but wether he would win if he was younger or not, I really don't know. It would probably depend on the type of battlefield, their preparations and other circumstances.
I think a younger Sandaime vs. an unprepared Oro would definitely win. Look how close he got to killing both of them at his current age. And for those who say that Oro was just toying with him there are scenes where Oro looks like he's having trouble with his edo tensei jutsu. just my opinion though.
I think i agree with you at his age he got 2 hokages and almost killed orochimaru and he couldn't only because he had a that sword in him.Originally Posted by Pyro Darkness
[font=tahoma][color=green]Unprepared??? Orochimaru looked pretty prepared to me when he invaded Konoha, what he didn't realize is that the Hokage had the last "Ace" up his sleeve. Had he been younger (and Orochimaru attests to this), he would have taken care of Orochimaru! Which is why Orochimaru constantly taunts him about his age!
Hmm.... This is a hard one. Itachi's hand speed (to make seals) couldn't be followed by kakashi, even with his three dot sharingan, and Gai is a taijutsu specialist who is able of unlocking gates. Gai can also fight a sharingan user with out looking into their eyes directly and still fight. As long as Gai doesn't look into Itachi's eyes he has a good chance, so im going with Gai!!!
Even though Gai is extremely fast and strong, Itachi would most likely be able to predict his movement and dodge/attack. Then again, we don't know what Gai is capable of after opening either 7 or 8 gates. I'd go for Itachi, his ability to predict the moves someone makes is extraordinary, the amount of jutsu's he is capable of doing should be quite impressive aswell. And as stated before he is definitely fast.
MS sharingan is the decisive factor why Itachi wins this ... burning black flames plus peerless mimicing abilities, no fair at all. Plus the fact that Itachi's taijutsu is supposed to be atleast rather OK.
Gai, if he's ready to go all-out and doesnt care if he dies.. and opens too many gates in the process.
Gai for the win. I'm starting to become anti Itachi to due to this blinding love of Sharingan.
Gai AND Lee tag teaming Itachi in the corniest Ougi EVER. Complete with waves and sun streaks and EVERYTHING.
No WAY ! ITACHI RULES !!!!!
Let me explain my reasons : sharigan is not only genjutsu, It also allows his user to learn others jutsu just by seeing them. After many years in Akatsuki, we can assume that he knows some of the other members jutsu.
The second point is the fact that Oro himself said he was weaker than Itachi and I really don't think Gai have a single chance against Oro
Gai would be a tough opponent for itachi...because until now we see itachi someone who depends on his doijutsus, especially genjutsus...as gai said, he knows how to fight against sharingan because he fought many times against kakashi...but in the end i guess itachi will somehow beat him, dont know why just a guess
itachi's jutsu speed first suprises kakashi but at their second meeting, kakashi's way of using jutsu suprised itachi kakashi is great genius..Originally Posted by Ramicollo
Knowing ninjutsu or genjutsu does NOT make you the man. As Sarutobi said there is a LOT more to power than how many jutsu's you know. Which is a direct dig at Orochi and basically any Sharingan user.
Gai has fought agianst Kakashi for years, he knows the limitations and skills of the sharingan and having MS will still not change that basic knowledge.
Sure with Sharingan you can predict the movements, even copy. But you can't dodge it unless your fast enough.
Itachi's hands may be fast (as is expected for someone who uses many jutsu's) but Gai is whole level of fast different.
When Gai got serious agianst 30% Kisame, he was dead in an instant. Busted out the 6th gate and Gai barely looked tired afterwards.
So don't get all giggly about MS and Sharingan yet. I have a feeling that very soon we will see its large limitations.
I have to say Gai, he has a lot more power then what we've seen. He still has 2 gates left, and I'm guessing one more powerup type deal up his sleave. Plus Sharingan can't effect someone unless you look in their eyes. Gai's friend/nemesis is Kakashi and they have fought for years, Gai has plenty of practice against Kakashi's eye even though it pales in comparison to Itachi's sharingan.
You don't have to look into ones eye to cast a jutsu on him using the Mangekyou Sharingan tho...Originally Posted by SchmoDawg
I'm going with Itachi, the thing is if Kakashi felt the need for backup with Itachi; I'm sure Gai would too. Based on Databook 2, Kakashi is an overall stonger fighter than Gai... None of Kakashi's Sharingan based weaknesses afflict Itachi either (Low amount of time able to be sustained, etc...). Plus, we have no idea of Itachi's max speed, for all we know he is just a fast and just as strong in Taijutsu... I don't see why he wouldn't have seen Gai's Gouken style before and copied it, He might even be able to do Jyuken if he'd seen any of it.
The sharingan's powers are too vast to be taken lightly, you may be able to limit the copying of your techniques and maybe some prediction by using Gai's methodology but what about the 100's and 1000's of ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu a user may already be capable of using. Thats why the Uchiha bloodline is feared above all others its the only one that provides a benefit in all combat situation, it allows you to walk away from any fight stronger than before, and gives you a defense which while far from absolute is more versitile(sp?) than any of the others we have seen.
