You finally have a thread, too. Congratz. Let's hope that it does not turn into a complete spamming thread so soon because this is the fate of every ask-me-thread.

HA!!!! SURPRISE KUNG FU RAID!!!!!!
lol, yeah enough spamming sakura's thread >.>
Oh I know a good question!!!! What style of Wushu do you practice (their arent that many I know, but I do know wushu still does branch out >.)
hahahaha lol sai :3 you know I just watched "the 36 chambers of shaolin" or something like that XD
umm I practice WuShu Sanshou/Sanda and Quinda
and I have an incredible [muscular fever(?)] T_T
Oh, this "muscular fever (lol, I know what you mean xD)" can be quite a pain. I am doing Aikido and especially after your first lessons this kind of ache occurs too often xD
Haha, My sifu would give us a chinese herbal remedy that gets rid of muscular fever...but he's also a licensed herbal medicinal practitioner and makes it himself, so I couldn't tell you where to buy it. It's awesome though, you just rub it on your muscles when you finish training and you're fine within a few minutes (I used to to use it to force my body to train longer)
ahaha lol magier ... I had a long pause (about a month and a half) so when I trained yesterday at home I resulted in that >.>
hmmm should take a pic with my gear on and post it in the first post of the thread :3 liek a "Beware DON'T SPAM MY THREAD" sign :3
waaahhh sai! how cool! I'd totally do the same thing too!!!!! It would help me so much!!! ;_; tell your sifu to send me some!
any one know what could be a good technique to add to my arsenal. i study the jeet kun do philosophy and i just study what i want to study and what feels good for my body like boxing, jujitsu and only side kicks , leg kicks and front kicks. i dunno if i should do judo or aikido. which do you guys think is the most affective close quarters throwing style?.
most effective close quarters throwing is Brazillian Jiujitsu form current rankings (in terms of the style thats been dominating a lot of tournaments), but in all honesty, there is no best style, just the best style for you. Judo and Aikido arent that extraordinarily different, Aikido is less violent though.
In terms of overall style I still prefer my style for myself (Chan Family Choy Lee Fut). We don't have a lot of throws or take downs. In all actuality, its not a great style for tournaments....because a lot of techniques are really meant to hurt a person.....but I still like it best.....
(feels bad for taking over Saky's thread ;o
i see. But the thing about doing whats best for me is actually what i have been doing its like creating my own way of fighting. i just learn the basics. To me Boxing is the best technique to learn when it comes to the hands. Tae Kwon Do is the best for the legs, Muay Thai is best for elbows and knees and head butts. i have been doing my own thing but the more i watch ufc, wec, and iska i want to learn to mix in throws.
yeaa butt try combining tae kuan do with boxing ..... the kicks and punches cant match as well as they do in sports that adapted them to go well together .For example what guard will you adopt ? the boxing guard, tae Kuan Do guart Muai Thai guard, judo or brazilian ju jitsu guard? Let's say you choose the boxing guard as best guard when fighting.... stand in that guard and try left punch right punch and right frontal kick....fast.... imagine that in combat...and think about it , in combat the amount of pressure on your body is double due to the stress and adrenaline and there are lots more reasones for not being a good idea to combine different styles like that unless you adapt them to your own ...but you'll need to know a bit more about martial arts if you're going to do that.My opinion though.
P.S:Sai don't worry Your presence is always welcome here :3
In jeet kun do bruce came up with the perfect fighting stance to intergrate the boxing attacks with leg attacks
and the blocking is different from the standard boxing guard and the tae kwon do guard. in jeet kun do the offensive position and the defensive position is the same from the stance. Because while in the attacking stance my left hand is blocking the left side of my chin and my elbow is blocking my ribs my right hand is blocking the front of my chin and my right shoulder is blocking the right side of my chin while my right elbow protects my ribs and my liver. front foot not too far apart and not too close to my sprinting foot i.e my back foot. So the positioning of my stance already is blocking . the only time its not is during an attack and even then depending on the opponent the jab is used to set up the coming attacks and the side kicks is like the most powerful jab when it comes to kicking which is why the speed factor is so important in JKD. or any martial art for that matter. See what im speaking on know is the basics in stance and stuff but the information is purely my mind set of how my fighting is.
