Sai had an interesting idea, namely that after the G10 matches, we'd get to see the original 2nd String representatives play the new top 10 members. While the generic 1st court players would probably just get crushed, it would be a way for Kazuya, Oni (if he loses to Kintarou) and Irie to get top 10 spots.
Expecting Kintarou > Oni and Ryoma vs Ryoga personally.
It would be ridiculous.
Kintaro should be flying and teleporting and asking the referees to bring in cameras for his next shots since Ryoma was just a beast.
And all Tezuka did was do his normal ZSD in TnK and just the beam of light alone shut down Yamato lol.
There is no way Oni would get crushed, because then the point would be that this formally #1 player sacrificed himself to raise a new generation and then got crushed by a newcomer that left him in the dust? So are we supposed to get the idea that it never pays to help other people in POT? POT is a pretty cutthroat world but I don't think it's this cutthroat. He can pull a Tezuka and have a drawn out fight and then lose, and the only reason he'd lose is because he stopped improving himself because he was busy training newcomers and you can be sure everyone will point this fact out.
I mean, in PoT I knew that Ryoma was the protagonist, I knew that Seigaku was the main team and I had to "cheer" (I don't know any other way to say it) Seigaku, and follow their adventures till the Nationals' finals.
In SPoT... do I "cheer" the Ms? The black jackets? WTF is going to happen after this, what is it prupose?
I mean, it's like watching a tennis tournament without having a favourite player... yeah, it's entertaining, but it's not the same.
Konomi gave him TnK to win, to completely destroy Oni
And I doubt Kin chan will not go full power in Tenimuhou. Maybe they'll need to get lots of cameras then if they want to keep an eye in the match

Irie challenge no 20, so he's not in the lineup against G10. Oni and Kazuya is in, and some random 1st court fodder.
Irie best stays at number 20, though. It's fit his style more that way. I'm not saying he's actually no 20 in strength, but I think it'll make for a funnier match when they go oversea.
I never know who to root for.
Especially now even more that Konomi scrapped the MSers wearing camp uniform and now wearing school uniforms.
So Sanada and Akutsu will be wearing different jerseys on the same team. Its stupid to me.
I don't feel that a bunch of MS brats even deserve to come and take out the Top HSers. They should wait their time.
I just don't understand at all.
I just root for whoever has the coolest tennis or persona nowadays. I don't get the goals, or the aims of anybody.
I mean, for Ochi who just lost his badge, why doesn't he go over to Kenya, annihalate him and take No.18.
If he doesn't feel like going back to 2nd String lol. I don't get people's aims or goals.
So for Tanegashima/Ohmagari VS Akutsu/Sanada, I'll root for the HSers. Although Sanada's tennis is amongst the best to watch in anime form in the series.
I actually cheers for Kimijima/Tohno during their match. And Duke during his match with Gin.
It's just a fun read at this point. There's hardly tension right now. It's when oversea match start that we'll know who to cheers for again.
I want that the top 20 become all Ms (Oni, Irie, etc... you are cool but meh, sorry).
I'm actually rooting for the forgotten bros... it's a lost cause isn't it?
I just can't see the point in Oni losing this early on, especially after all of the buildup of him being the No 1 player in Japan and beating Byoudouin. It would be like if Tezuka had lost in the original ranking tournament.
Not to mention the fact that it would put Kintarou far above Ryoma, who isn't capable of returning the wall smashing shot, even though he has Tenimuhou and 10 balls at once.
