Me and my friend was thinking about who would voice who if HxH got licensed ( preferably by FUNimation )
We want EVERYONE who worked on YYH to work on HxH ( since YYH is like one of the best dubs ever )
List who's voices would you want to be whos or just list voice actors that weren't in YYH but would be a good fit for a HxH character.
Trying to think who could voice Netero, who is the voice actor you suggested for him (who have they voiced)? I guess I'm not that familiar with voice actor by name.

The most important thing in an English dub for me would be that Gon and Killua sound like actual kids.
I'll come up with my own list when I have the time (need to finish a **** legal research paper).
I'm not very Keen on voice acting so feel free to ignore my opinion
I don't really follow VA's so I don't know anybodies names so I'm going to base my wish-list on the characters from there respected shows english voice.
Gon: I think Kid Gohans Dragon Ball Kai voice could work for Gon.
Killua: I want to say Hiei's voice, but that's alittle to dark and masculine for Killua so imma go ahead and say Eds voice from FMA wouldn't be so bad.
Leorio: I'd say Harima from School Rumbles voice is the best voice i can think of for Leorio at the moment.
Kurapika: I'd say Clare from Claymore could do the job. (Yes, i'm aware Kurapika is a guy, but Clare has a pretty masculine voice for a girl while still having just a hint of femininity)
Hisoka: I'm at a lost here... because nobody can live up to the japanese Hisokas voice. I'd say Light from Death Note but he's not with FUNimation but i'll say it anyway just because
Kai Gohan was voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard, who also voices Luffy from One Piece. While I think her voice could fit Gon, I'd rather see someone who isn't already voicing a long-running shonen hero get his role. Also, Clinkenbeard's Gohan voice is slightly controversial, probably the most polarizing of all the Kai re-castes, even though I enjoyed her performance.
Hiei was voiced by Chuck Huber. I loved his work with the character, along with Android 17 from DBZ, but like I said before, I want Killua and Gon to sound like kids. Edward Elric's English performance, the work of the great Vic Mignogna, also wouldn't work for Killua, in my opinion. His voice is better suited for older kids (Ed is 15 for much of FMA) and grown men voicing 12-year-olds always sounds off to me, no matter how talented they are.
I'm not familiar with School Rumbles, but Harima is apparently voiced by Brandon Potter, who voices Shanks in One Piece's Funi dub. He could be a decent fit for Leorio, though I doubt anyone will be able to capture the lovable goofiness the Japanese voice brings out in his character.
Clare's voice actor, Stephanie Young, could pull Kurapika off if she deepened her voice a bit. I'm surprised how similar she sounds to the Japanese actor. With that said, it doesn't look like she has ever voiced a male character before. Regardless, I'd prefer having a guy voice Kurapika, just so people will stop confusing him with a girl already. There's enough gender ambiguity surrounding him already.

Thanks so much, that was so insightful
I agree on many of your points, though, i still like the choices :P
Also, since you're not familiar with School Rumble / Harima watch this scene:
The whole thing. I feel there's a nice amount of mood swings / emotions played out in this scene that can give you a general idea of the characters voice and abilities. Not to mention it's hilarious
After watching that video, I can definitely see Brandon Potter voicing Leorio. He has a good vocal range that would cover both the serious and goofy sides of Leorio's personality. I still don't think anyone will be able to replicate the sheer perfection of Leorio's Japanese voice.
Then again, I actually kind of like Leorio's voice in the old English dub of the 1998 series, so I'll probably end up liking whoever plays him in the new version after I hear enough of him playing the role.
Does anyone else here think Vic Mignogna could be a great pick for Kurapika? After thinking it over for awhile, I can see him fitting the role quite well. He's great at playing intelligent teenage characters with strong convictions. I'm pretty sure he'd be able modify his Edward Elric voice to fit Kurapika's calmer personality, and handling both the kindness inherent in his personality, along with his outbursts of anger. Vic's clearly masculine voice would also remove any chance of confusion concerning Kurapika's gender for all those silly people who get it mixed up at first.
Attaching a big name voice actor like Vic to Hunter x Hunter would also help it gain the popularity it deserves among western anime fans. He's also already has experience playing Togashi characters, having voiced Prince Baka Ki El Dogra in Funimation's Level E dub, as well as Ura Urashima and Bui from Yu Yu Hakusho back in the day

Nah I can't see Vic Mignoewaw as Kurapika. I can see Yuri Lowenthal (Sauske, Barnaby) as him. Just because of the similarities.
Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of Yuri. His Sasuke voice is a little too deep for Kurapika for my tastes, but has the right overall sound. Even if I'm not especially fond of Sasuke as a character, I've never had a problem with Yuri's performance. He's a little monotone at times (from what I remember at least. It's been a while since I've watched much Naruto), but it's hardly his fault Sasuke is such a humorless jerk.
Then again, him voicing Kurapika might highlight their similarities too much. It could cause uninformed people to think Kurapika is just a rip off of Sasuke when the opposite is closer to being true.
Have you seen Tiger and Bunny? Yuri's Barnaby is more in line with Kurapika I think. Same revenge motive but with a little more of a sarcastic comedic aspect to it.
