author photo covers are probably much more diffiucult now, between faceless types like Sorachi and the continuing presence of female creators who don't refer to their gender like Amano and KAITO. such covers tend to reveal such things about yourself.
Not to mention, this is the 21st century, where it's not uncommon for celebrities to be stalked anywhere, anytime. So yeah, I don't think that'll ever happen. But I do wish that there was a once-in-a-lifetime thing where they at least have a photo of the Big 3 authors. If that ever happened, those would sell like hotcakes with sky-high prices on the net. Especially for the west.
Hell, add in Toriyama and bidding on e-bay could reach a record.
Everybody knows how Kubo looks. There are pictures of Kishimoto. Even videos. I think I've also seen Oda.
And it's part of a manga-ka's charm to not be known by public.
I think we even saw Togashi marriage photo...
Naoko is too cute for him
PS. Sorry for my english ^^u
Maybe for the example when Togashi was working on Yu Yu Hakusho. At some points its argued if he just stopped caring eventually, especially towards the last arc of the series, but because it was so popular it kept going for a few more issues (all the side stories at the end make me guess this). With Hunter x Hunter he's taken many hiatus from the series for the past 7 years. It was about to enter another arc, but i wonder with how often he takes long breaks why not just wrap it up with a final arc and retire? Unless WSJ is pressuring him to continue the story as they have been known to do because it increases their sales when it does come back.
Actually now that you mention it, Hiramaru was probably inspired by Togashi.
As far as I know,
Nizuma Eiji is inspired from Oda, to a certain extent.

I always thought Hiramaru was based on Sorachi, a jobless man who tried to do manga for work, succeeding, doing a somewhat weird gag manga.
Hiramaru is very clearly based on Togashi, considering the unwillingness to work and the marriage to a female mangaka.
Also, I really really don't think she's particularly good looking, or even good looking at all.
Sket Dance ending confirmed.
Nisekoi animation studio is SHAFT.
Holy schnitzel Shaft?

So World Trigger in 9th again, guess it stabilised in the middle of the ToC. Mutou Black in bottom 3? Guess it won't last long.
